GOD OF WAR PLAYTHROUGH

Part 2 - The Stranger

A tattooed stranger has come calling, claiming to know who and what Kratos is. The stranger is looking for something and he believes Kratos know what that is. But he’s wrong. Kratos warns him to leave without success and soon there is no option left but to fight. The stranger turns down a final ultimatum to leave and defiantly says “You will have to kill me for that to happen.” Without warning he delivers a series of punches to Kratos’ face and abdomen.

Kratos, stoic and unflinching, grabs the strangers hand. “I warned you,” he says before leveling him to the ground with a single punch. But the Stranger doesn’t stay down. He gets up and laughs before delivering a fierce upper cut that lifts Kratos over a dozen feet through the air before plummeting back to the ground with a thud. Clearly this stranger is no mortal man. Soon the spectacle of two God’s fighting begins to destroy the woods. Trees topple, Cliffs shatter, and the entire valley floor is split asunder.

During the fight Kratos’ home is damaged and the stranger notices two beds inside. He threatens to get the information from whoever is hiding away in the house if Kratos refuses give it up. Igniting the fury inside of him Kratos erupts into a fiery rage and beats the stranger near unrecognizable. But it’s a futile display. The stranger rejuvenates near instantly and claims to feel no pain. Weakened and worried about his son Kratos barriers the stranger under a massive stone column.

With the stranger gone for now, Kratos fetches Atreus and prepares to leave the Wildwood, leave their home. Atreus says, “I thought I wasn’t ready?”

His father simply replies, “You are not but we have no choice now. Prove me wrong.” And with that they collect their things and begin their trek to the top of the mountain to spread Faye’s ashes and say their final good-byes.
