The International Battle Pass 2018 is OUT!

Hello and good morning STEEMians! I hope you are having a great day so far because I am very excited to share this news! Last May 08, 2012 Valve officially announced The International Battle Pass for 2018! And just yesterday they released the 1st update and guess what in just its 1st day of release it immediately got more than $4million in the prize pool!

Well for those guys new to DOTA 2 or even doesnt play, Battle Pass is the tournament pass made for the upcoming The International 2018. (You can say its the Playoffs for NBA or Super Bowl for NFL. This event is the pinnacle of all DOTA 2 players.)

So for you guys who are waiting for this wonderful news, let's go ahead and look at heart of the Dota summer season and unearth a rich vein of new and classic features, new game modes, and heaps of exclusive rewards and the features in-stored for us in the Battle Pass 2018.

Theme

First off is the theme of this year's Battle Pass. As you all know every Battle Pass has its unique theme. Last year had the under the sea theme where you can see jelly fishes and fishes on the terrain. And for this year's theme is Emerald Abyss.

Here you can see that it has the luxious gem green that gives you the feeling of being on a emerald mine. Let's go dig for more!

New Campaigns

1. The Underhollow

It's a 3-man team battle royale, where each team's goal is to venture deep into the labyrinth filled with AI monsters and other 3-man teams to search for Roshan's Cheese. This feature is still not available though but will be playable soon.

2. The Cavern Crawl

It is the new version of the past battle pass' win game in your designated hero, where you play your normal matches with a specific hero and get rewards as you win your normal games.

New Features

1. Mutation Mode

Well basically you play with a normal match but with a twist. Valve says " an unranked game mode played with a random selection of gameplay modifiers ranging from global Rupture events to the ability to resurrect your teammates. ". So just watch out for today it is still unavailable.

2. Chat Wheel Sprays

We are very fond of using the chat wheel sounds where pre-defined sounds were made based on heroes or famous lines from different persona. But this time they are introducing sprays available as you level up your battle pass.

3. Role-based Matchmaking Queue

As a support player this is what I have been dreaming of, where you can pre-select your role-Safe, Mid, Offlane, or Support, before you start the game. A matchmaking algorithm collects players queueing up in each specified role and completes the team. If you're tired of having ALL-CARRY-CANCER-SEA-SERVER line-upthen this is the best feature for you.

Traditional Features

Of course since Battle Pass started we have the all-time favorite features that has been part of every year's event.

• Token Wagering
• Arcana Vote (idk but its just a mess)
• Recycling
• Rylai's Battle Blessing
• The International Compenduim ( Your ticket to watch live games during The Internationals 2018)

Rewards

And this part is what every Battle Pass owners get really excited with. As you go level up you will get exciting rewards like Item bundles, the much awaited Immortal treasures, different effects and more. Let's take a look at each reward as we go a level higher:


Of course there are more levels higher and more rewards but lets just keep it up to level 156 for now.
