Hi guys and welcome to another beautiful day, the week almost over and as usual we step into the weekend with work free, hangouts and a whole lot more, but before then lest quickly look at this topic and I would love to get your own opinion as related to esports on Olympics.

This topic is not new a bit, it has been discussed on television, articles, journals and many more other platform, is esport good or same thing as your normal sports?

Will it make individuals lazier and what does it bring to the table to rival other Olympic sports, many users consider esport good enough to be among the Olympic sports and many say they differ.

Personally am no huge fan of sports, doubt you would catch me watching a full game of football, although the skills been demonstrated are somewhat interesting, or if one of the popular or famous team is playing, then you are bound to see something interesting, other times not so much.

One of the downside of your normal sports, most of them don’t offer streaming platform were you could watch them instantly and easily at the comfort of your home be it on mobile device and what have you.

That be said, esports do offer some of the above and also increasing their number of viewers daily with different activities to catch their attentions, be it organizing of events and what have you.

Before advancing forward, many might not be aware or understand the definition of esport, so for the benefit of non-gamer or those not familiar with the term,

Esports short for the term electronic sports, it relates to video games but then played in a competitive mode were players stand the chance of winning prizes ranging from monetary value to just fame and ingame equips/ rare items.

Esports has been getting a wide supports over the years and so many different games and different game genres are beginning to find their way into this platform yearly, the advantages of this platform is numerous and one of them as to do with creating a huge ads platform about a particular game.

In turn, increasing the number of users they have playing that game, when you watch a game been played in a competitive mode, there is every possibility you would like to try out that game sometime, be it paid or free to play.
Some of the game genre that has found their way into esports showbiz are but not limited to, FPS first person shooter, MOBA multiplayer online battle arena, RTS real-time strategy games and many other game genre.

Some games that can be found under this genre and currently been played on esports level are, PUBG player unknown battle ground, LOL league of legends, CSGO counter strike global offensive, DOTA 2, Tom Clancy rainbow six siege and many others., you probably aware of some of the above before now and others not so much.

Most of the games been listed up are free to play and others require you paying certain amount of money. Although, most of the free to play games still require you spending money while ingame, one of the disadvantage of recent games, to advance faster you need buy game skins and xp booster or what have you, although the money is probably used to maintain the game and pay the developing team, so I don’t consider it a rip-off. Rather a way to donate to this awesome team making our day a little bit less boring that the usual routine.

That been said, some of these games or most of them are played in Esports mode, were a wide range of viewers can be gotten, it is usually hosted in different regions and a medium were you can actually watch your favorite team IRL in reall life is available, a big screen is made to project the game as the match takes place.

Also mediums have been made on these games or external links which provide gamers easy access to watch their team as they battle with others, prizes sometimes have been put in place for viewers who are able to predict the games outcomes, although such prizes are usually related to ingame equips, ranging from icons to game skins, if you a diehard fan on esport and follow different teams play then the possibility of winning such items are available, just like predicting normal sports game.

Most individuals also consider esport somewhat of a non-activity type of sport, meaning gamer don’t go through trainings or sweat it out in the field to become well prepared, in other words they don’t put in much efforts as your normal sport individuals do.

Well my definition to that is, what do you consider activity, is it running? Jogging? Anything that makes you sweat or what have you.

Well am no pro-player and definitely not that into gaming as this said individuals who partake in esports but what I do know is that, this individuals put in as much effort and spend days training for events like any other sports would, yes and they do sweat it out, most of the task they know requires strategy and quick thinking, meaning how best to handle situations when presented with it, they have to improvise a lot of times and find different pattern to win games, personally I consider such activity as a brain booster and gives you a sharp edge to find solutions to different problems when faced with it.

It also increases your creativity sides, been able to determine which route and best outcome to overcome your opponent surely counts for something, might sometimes been linked to physiological behavior, cause you try to understand what the opposite team is playing and best way to tackle whatever they throw at you, while engage in this gaming.

So I think esport should be played in the Olympics.

Was going through some news feed and found something quite interesting as it relates to esport been played in somewhat of an Olympic standard, meaning users would probably go home with medals after winning.

The event is SEA 2019 that is Southeast Asian games that will be held in 2019.

From the news feed, it seems one of the current popular played game, Mobile legends is currently the only game added, but others will be included as the time goes on, say Dec 15th next month, pro-players will be participating in a bigger audience with that chance of going home with medals.

Won’t be surprised if different nations start looking for gamers to train and those that would replace them come 2019 on SEA games events.

The eSports in the SEA Games will be accredited by the Asian Electronic Sports Federation, and six gold medals will be up for contest on three platforms — two each for console, mobile and PC.

Multiplayer online battle arena game Mobile Legends: Bang Bang will be one of the titles that will be featured in SEA Games 2019, while other titles will be finalised by Dec 15.

“We are very thrilled, excited, and honoured to have eSports in the SEA Games with Razer as a partner,” Cayetano was reported saying. “Gamers are an important part of our community.”
Read about it here.

With that been said, do have a lovely weekend.

Till some other time.
