Hi guys and welcome to another game review, today will be looking at hopeless land, another rip off from PUBG? Or a new and better version of pubgmobile?

So initially, I was not looking to download this game but rather rules of survival, watched the game-play for some time now and the more I watched, the more am into it.

Decided to check playstore for it and the above page was what I was lead to, although after searching for a while, I did find it and am I will try my best to do a review about it when I do download it. But before then let’s look at what Hopeless land has for us.

Welcome once again to this beautiful Wednesday morning, we already half way through the week and can’t wait for Friday to reach once more, yea the fun continues xd.

Hopeless Land

It’s a battle royal game, where player gets to battle other players for the first spot and as usual, the only way to be first is if you survive it all, that’s if you playing a solo mode or survive alongside your squad if you playing a team match, unlike other battle royal games where we have a total of 100 players, hopeless land did something different. They increase the number of players to 121, although am not sure if they are all players or just a mixture of both bots and humans, but I guess no one really cares but rather get your kills and win the match xd.

For some reason, the gaming industry seems to be flooding with this type of games recently battle royal match, is it that it’s quite easy to develop? Or?

Well whatever the case may be, they all try to be as different from the already existing ones and I must say, it’s usually fun trying them out and the controls are usually same or just few additions or subtraction

Game

It comes with three different link options,

• link your Facebook account to it, all data progress will be synchronized to your Facebook page and each progress is recorded there and stored online, if for any reason you decided to change your device or format it, you could always retrieve or start from your last progress by accessing the game via your Facebook account.

• Google, same thing as the above happens here, but rather than your Facebook page, it uses your google account and all progress is stored there, before accessing your google, there is always a notification screen that comes up if you would allow this app to link your Facebook or google account.

And the last is Guest mode, as the name implies guest, so probably you would like to share or show the game to family/friends you could give them access as guest, that way they won’t temper with your pre-existing progress, nicely done I will say.

Just like many other battle royal game, hopeless land comes with three different game mode which is solo, dual and squad that’s if you playing the normal game mode, but apart from that, they introduced another game mode called bloody battle 8 vs 8.

Other options that can be seen from the startup page includes but not limited to

• Bonus, we seen times and times of are games introduce daily rewards, weekly and some others just for playing their games, it brings the incentive for players to check-in every day due to the freebies they could claim daily or weekly and I must say its nicely done, who don’t like a free gift?

The bonus mode, comes with three different reward option, Daily sign-in, Daily quest and Level rewards. Each mode brings different reward ranging from ingame money to xp and claiming of any them further increases the reward, to opening of boxes boxes usually filled with more rewards.

• Crates, from pubgmobile, we saw that the only way to purchase items cloth, shoes and what have you, was opening supply crate, now same procedure applies here, the only way to unlock more stuffs is buy buying crates with ingame money and the occasional reward getting upon completing a particular task. The ingame money is gold and currently seems there is no way to purchase more rather than claim them upon completing a match or opening daily rewards. Crates can be purchase with either diamonds or gold, and can also be claimed by daily reward or task.

• Appearance, This is where all your currently unlocked equip can be found, it provide various storage for each equip you unlock and they are automatically stored here, you can sell your equip from this option and also change your look from this option as well, am yet to unlock any equip hence got nothing to change to but I can always sell my existing one for some gold, wonder if the payout will be enough to acquire a better one, but I doubt that. Probably be a low amount for the existing equip unless it’s a rare equip which you must have unlocked with diamond.

Settings

It comes with three different settings,

• Basic

• Operation and

• Pickup settings

Each setting can be customized to meet your game need, but I would advise changing some of the settings before playing as to get a better experience while playing, some of those options are,

Vehicle customization, you can choose with buttons or without button, now this is useful when you driving a car, personally I prefer with buttons as am able to control this cars better that way rather using an analog joystick.

The other I would advise you to change is the auto door opening, it opens doors randomly that’s if you close to the door, not minding if there is anybody at the other end.

Other settings include, auto-aim, auto pickup weapons etc.

If you not too cool with auto-fire, you really need to change this, most times it only auto-aim the opponent and does not provide a good aim, but rather a square like option around the opponent which makes aiming little bit difficult, changing this setting would prove to be really useful.

Language

Kind of hard to understand most part of the game, that’s if you not used to battle royal game, the messages sent are usually not in English, hence quite difficult to understand what is been passed through. Although the message was helpful as it presents you with some reward as well.

Gameplay

Normal Mode

Gameplay is a lot similar with other battle royal game, you start from what seems to be a deserted Island, alongside your teammate(s), depends if you playing solo, duo or squad match and there is also one more mode unlocked after completing certain task and its non-other than Asian server, yea they have their very own server, the game is probably develop from Asia hence the above, so if you understand the language, you really need to try it out or not.
Game commence the same way, you all jump and parachute from a plane, where you are made to look for guns, melee, grenades and what have you.

Various weapons are available for you to pick-up and same idea with other battle royal exist here, you can pick up Ak or smg alongside grenades and smoke bomb.

Various cars can been used when playing the game, including but not limited to tank, yea you read it right, tanks, the option to drive a tank is available alongside other cars.

Bloody Battle 8 vs 8

You play alongside other 8 users and the team with the highest points win the match, the rules are shown and the point you get for completing several task is shown to you.

Other options remain the same and seems to have minor bug issues or probably my phone spec but be that as it may, the game is really interesting and you really need to try it out, you can get it buy searching Hopeless land from playstore or click the link above.

Me and my friend tested to see how this new battle royale genre is. The mobile touch layout is definitely tricky to play but itsit's fun to play with your friends on duo mode. No major bugs, except the game changes language automatically to chinese and whatever for no reason, also not sure where to change language to english. It's cool for a free game. The map is huge and the sessions have a lot of players. Not a major mobile shooter fan, but this one is cool.

Personally better than free fire imo,it has a great setup and the graphics are versatile I really didn't give it a chance due to ratings but tbh this game is fun as heck It has a great camera,great controls and awesome and great variety of equipment This game needs to be given a chance It needs to more recognition than it currently has.... It is really necessary to add more settings concerning the graphics and controls There is constant lag at some times it is excessive and annoying.... I really enjoy this game and I'd like to see some issues addressed....also there needs to be more customization..Thank You.

Currently rated 4.1 out of 5 and I must say that’s a good rating, would have love to give it a 5 but due to the language barrier, think 4 would be okay for it, for now.
