Mortal Kombat 11, coming next year

I guess after XL, 11 comes next but then who am I to argue with game logic?

Hi guys and welcome to another beautiful and lovely day, its already the weekend and what better way to start it up rather than with some good news and if you into much more brute force games, then this write-up is definitely for you.

Still remembering certain aspect of my childhood as I watch the trailer after it was announced by NetherRealm Studios.

If you familiar with the Mortal Kombat series then you probably hyped as well about Mortal Kombat 11, don’t know about others, but my first Mortal Kombat game was via a Sega Genesis console, even till now I still remember certain features, key code and even ability to use when fighting.

It was or still the best player fighting game ever produced, the fight scenes, movement was none like we ever seen before, when it was first released for gaming console, it brought a new feeling to the gaming industry and made many fall in love with gaming, what it offered then, was nothing like the gaming industry had seen before.

Every punch, every ability was uniquely made and it felt somewhat real, you could feel your adrenaline rushing when playing in a one vs one, player vs player mode, your reaction time to every hit and trying to land series of blows, which we called combos, man I still remember every feeling how I would use Noob Saibot or Rain popular known as Raiden, he uses a bolt of electricity to render his opponent powerless by lifting and dropping them same time.

This move could be done simultaneously and before your opponent could defend or block against it, he was hit again, you were somewhat invincible if you had proper grasp of this particular ability and to make it more fun,

Certain codes or cheat were created alongside the game to make it more fun, you could put a code that renders all defense null, meaning any time you go for defense your player won’t respond to it, in which case you had to fight to stay alive and the last man with the highest HP wins the game, it was mad fun and also been able to unlock certain codes that gives you access to more feature was what made the game really stand out.

Then unlike now, were you have to pay for everything to unlock any small and minor features, back then unlocking was based on code, or cheat as we call it, if you had access to this code you could unlock certain features to the game that gave you more options, which included Sha khan and Motaro, also the feature to play a hidden game was made available,

Although, the hidden game was not all that interesting, but it was fun, kind of a speed run game, user who could stay alive longest, game lasted for few seconds, guess that was what could be achieved for a game that runned on few megabytes, if you played it on emulator recently, you would understand.

What made the Mortal Kombat stand out then, was not the different abilities that came with each player, which include the popular scorpion get over here move. Funniest part is, same move is still been used till date, not even the series of punches and kicks you could do combos, when playing the game but rather the after match performance.

Known as brutality, Fatality, Bability

This was a special scene or rather a good addition that was added to the Mortal Kombat game, were players could perform a unique and special move to end the game. Don’t get me wrong,

The game needed to be over before you could perform such move, but then your opponent player won’t be able to respond anymore, if you watched the movie Mortal Kombat, you could recall the scene were Emperor Sha Khan spoke to Sonia to finish Kane, her response was with a powder, or you might call it gun powder which she used to light up Kane.

Such features was added or still added to upcoming Mortal Kombat series were players could perform such actions immediately after finish him words come in, now you had few seconds to perform this, it usually involved series of buttons been press if you were to perform Brutality, a series of movements were players would be able to beat the opposite team from their physical state to a skeletal state and the time changes from morning to evening and back to morning again.

All or most of the characters could perform this special move called Brutality and there was actually no single code or cheat one could use to bypass you pressing the series of keys to achieve that, unlike Fatality, just like brutality, you could also end your opponent with a somewhat special and unique move that differs on all character, sometimes you end up freezing them as relates to sub-zero or destroying the planet alongside them via a psychopathic robot called smoke. Each character came with his/her unique fatality move, the ability to use a single button to archive this was made via a secret code which I earlier mentioned that gave you access to other characters.

That and many could be observed on Mortal Kombat on Sega genesis console.

Now over the years, Mortal Kombat improved or rather changed most of the features to keep up with modern day gaming, unlike the 2D game movements were payer battled each other face to face, they added 3D movements, although I wouldn’t call it all 3D but when certain ability or weapons were cast, you would see them delivering the appropriate damage in a 3D like manner.

But still the game fight scenes was not altered in any form, after all it was what made Mortal Kombat different from others.

Recent Mortal Kombat released took the game once more up to offer more entertainment and fun filled fighting to users as they brought in X-ray view, unlike before were you engaged in series of fights, been able to evade attacks from opposite team, while delivering yours as well in a 2d plane motion, the game added X-ray view to make the fight scenes more intense, certain or special moves were now shown in an X-ray view giving players more fun out of the game.

You could now land a punch and watch it break the jaw of your opponent team in a third person X-ray view giving you kind of rush when such happens.

So, I made a game hunt a day or so called Sniper Elite, a game that offered X-ray viewed as well, were you could see the effects of your action in a more fun filled manner.

The x-ray view surely brought more action and user to playing Mortal Kombat once more, after all who wouldn’t like to first class see the effect or ramming a skull into a building?

The game is somewhat matured in my opinion, with certain scenes I think won’t be suitable for minors, but then, that’s what gaming usually brings.

Mortal Kombat 11 will be coming out next year and from the brief trailer showed below, it seems we should be expecting more fun and better ability usage.

Also the same fighting style is kept, lot of bone cracking, flesh melting and what have you, man am truly hyped about the upcoming Mortal Kombat, after mortal kombat xl, it seemed they added more features to it and 2019 sure looking good in terms of game expectations.
