Penned Bullshit ~ Noob sounds like Boobs

in #gaming5 years ago (edited)

I don't always play games but seems they are almost the only use for crypto. I also have no clue how any of it has any worth but it sure is nice.

If someone tells me oh don't worry people will pay for this or that pointless thing such as a game or a second pair of shoes it just boggles my mind. Mainly because I am not really the type to go in and be like hey I really want to waste money on a second pair of shoes today.

In crypto that seems different since these things seemingly have value, if you look at Steemmonsters then as with anything that value is determined by the top tier, as they are also giving cards away this gets a bit tempered by the bottom tier who just want a quick buck. I am no expert so I just call it all made-up bullshit. pennomics

Ok so much for the pointless intro, now let's get to the pointless content. I think I just figured out what has been nagging at the back of my mind. No promises though.

Crypto Games Cover

The Crypto Games I play

It is not a long list, more the 3 horses I hope place because I happen to find a ticket with that bet on it. There was a fourth but I quickly nipped that shit it the but as it is not so much a game as absolute stupidity with unclear feedback. The fourth is obviously Magic-dice.

Not my cup of tea seeing as I had something to lose, maybe? Not my cup of tea because I want everything for free? Not my cup of tea because...

I don't care I just don't like it and fyi I think I did not lose that much. I was about to write a title for each game then realised I would need to write an appropriate amount about the game after that but I really do not want to and there is the fact that I just don't have much to say about any of them. Ok, I might have quite a bit to say but nothing, as structured as a header, calls for.

Virgin Game

This is obviously Steemmonster and also the first time I spent any of my steem. I bought early and was lucky with the pre-sale or some shit where you got 30 cards in a starter pack and those were my cards. I played them for very long and won a booster and a few solos here and there. I made acquaintance with @calumam and this guy went all up inside Steemmonsters ass and came out with a fuck ton of cards. He then sent me 110 cards and seeing as I am too lazy to send them back I am in debt until I die because mofo I ain't never saving up them dollars.

I played them as is for a long time, then decided to combine and actually get some daily rewards cards seeing as the daily quests were getting quite hectic and only getting two cards a day sucks ass. As for selling, I don't sell the originals but did break down and sold a plethora of those stupid rusty androids and a few others wannabe cards since a person really only need about 4 good cards per splinter. @Profanereviews convinced me to get rid of some golds and I did that with the reward cards because the basic card at least I can level up, honestly what are the chances of getting another fucking gold.

Although, this was quite recent because guess what?

Another Steem game started and one where you got steem back every day. So what do you do if you would like a nice start but have no steem you wish to waste? You sell Steemmonster cards... especially gold ones.

So with a little of that steem and a little that I was willing to waste I bought some buildings in Drugwars. Starting to feel like a real hustler at this point and even referred some people. I will admit I used the word investment like I was gangsta. Drugwars is a nice time waste just don't waste your time caring about the results. You will find some petty people who will do revenge attacks for the sake of revenge and not give anyone a chance to climb back up but I suspect the gangs will change that a bit and give better actual gameplay seeing as they are pivoting from "We give you money." to "It is just a game."

These games are not investments

Whether that is 100% true or not doesn't matter as you need to understand that this is all just a way to either get people using the crypto, give them a little then take all the crypto back. Games are addictive for a reason and you are just a consumer. Nothing more.

I think that is a good starting point for any of this. Sure we can make something back I guess, but expecting to make anything is just standing with your food bowl out. Similar in life. Expect nothing.

Therefor when the next best thing comes or an upgrade or something is there. If it takes too much effort then why do it. Mmmm, I don't think you were supposed to read any of that. It is just my general thought when I look at anything that has more than two people excited at a time. Gotta wonder do I feel like wasting time and money today. Mostly sure why not, but not much ok. Only take a bit at a time so I don't notice it as much. pensumerism

Digression from Steem

I will say I owned Ethereum and logged into some crypto kitty thing once, was like wtf and left. I sold all my Ethereum and bought steem. Seeing as I have no actual use for Ether. The big thing is that if I don't have a tangible use for something I tend to not understand it or care much for it. That does not mean I don't take note, slightly.

This leads me to my third game which is not Steem but EOS based. This game came about in a very roundabout way and will require. Not really. It will require a backstory or leading whatever it is called. See the third game is due to Whaleshares and China (insert any government). Mostly in crypto things seem to be nice and open source, plans seem mostly open for the better part also. Not so much anymore, in general there is a shift as many are also starting to trademark or patent things. I am thinking of Electroneum and their shit show of instant payments on the cryptonote chain which is a privacy chain.

So now crypto is becoming secretive like China. Get it?

So Whaleshares is just based on Steem v19, so none of the good resource management stuff such as Resource Credits or anything. Nope v19 and future inter chain operability. Maybe not even that since operability would, for me at least mean no middle. Maybe more middlemanning? Somehow some way. Yeah that is good. Somehow some fucking way the intention is to have Whaleshares (Steem) be linked to EOS (Telos) but what happens to bitshares? What kinda token is Whaleshares anyway? Dammit. I confuckulated myself.

Ok so to get to the middlemanning. No matter what, where or how but there will be a link. Whaleshares seemingly and effectively just a platform, enter from stage left Stakemine.

Maybe a lot of this should be in another post ~Suspecting you are the recipient in a Bukkake

Moving along. Stakemine is like delegating power to applications, this is also a principle in EOS it seems. So on Steem we have delegation and as it goes with us humans we give our power to big entities. I do the same I have delegated to @tipu for example. But on Steem there is the option to delegate to people which with Whaleshares there is not. So you either have power or you buy, no borrowing ok.

This is where Whaleshares now starts creating a link with Stakemine since the more people that give power to an app on EOS (Stakemine) the more that app can do and it then gives a return just like the ones on Steem. So the thought hit me that Whaleshares is actually just a platform. Duh, right.

EOS Knights Screen

So if they are pimping Stakemine on Whaleshares but not pimping. Since China does not just pimp, there is a procedure you know. Then maybe that is where they are going. Then I stopped thinking because I also realised that it does not matter since I still don't know what the use for EOS and all that cpu, ram nonsense is if you still need to run your own damn database for everything.

I gave up and said fuckit, converted 25 steem to 3 Eos. Downloaded scatter wallet, sent it via Rudex to them to create an account but that got lost and lucky some dude in the telegram helped me get it back. Looked at Stakemine again and started playing EOS Knights instead.

I haven't played any games, (the only one I know exists is Steemmonsters, because I've seen it mentioned so much), but I take all the games as forms of gambling. In gambling, one needs to have a system, not necessarily for winning all the time, but for management of funds. As a long -time crap player, (haven't played for a few years though), my system was to have a set amount I was willing to lose, and a set amount I wanted to win. If I hit either, I would be done for the night and go home with my winnings or losses. The important thing is, I have control over my playing the game, and the money I use for playing. Overall, I'm slightly ahead.

I won't gamble on games like those on sites like this, however, because the odds are not known, I assume, for one thing, and that makes controlling one's behavior very difficult.

True, the merger of elements like gambling etc is something to keep an eye on. I binge a bit but quickly get bored with things then do the minimum possible to just get whatever I am supposed to get. to keep that initial phase in control is the thing though, gotta get to the boredom phase :)

That was not as pointless as I was promised.

Never promised... I will conclude that this is my catch all :)

No promises though.

Well. I felt clockbaited into a more reasonable post then I was hoping for. Very upsetting ;)
Therefore I kicked your ass in Drugwars!!! :D
That game is better than flagging ;)
