Overkill is a mobile game series that is practically less popular in the realm of action shooter genre. Apart from the two previous series that carry the genre of on-rail shooter, this time the developer Craneballs experimenting with his new look to refresh the impression that Overkill is less competitive than other action games out there.

Broadly speaking the game Overkill 3 is still the same as the previous two series. Here you are given a world map that holds various levels with the same objective of killing enemies as much as possible. Every mission you complete will give you money for weapons upgrades and equipment you have.

Through his third iteration, Craneballs conjured up the style of on-rail shooter games from the previous Overkill into a third-person shooter game with a huge graphics enhancement here and there. In order for the shooting action here is not boring, Overkill 3 provides a somewhat varied enemy although in terms of AI they will not be far from their nature as a mere shot target. Here you will find soldiers with various types of armaments, drones, robots, and so forth. Their existence will be a serious threat if you do not immediately settle them all, because frankly enemies in every series of Overkill always ambition to surround yourself from all directions. So hurry to shoot them as accurately as possible right in the head before you make the hassle.

In addition to enemies, Overkill 3 also includes other variations such as changes in the layout of the layout is quite diverse as well as changes day and night. The transition from the background graphics that the previous series dominated the 2D graphics background was also thoroughly shredded here. Instead, you will find a variety of background battles that are much more convincing than the previous two Overkill series. Essentially, Craneball is working hard to make the game Overkill 3 not boring from the visual side, and their hard work is practically paid out here.

For the implementation of third-person shooter gameplay, I can emphasize again that the Overkill 3 game scheme itself remains the same as it used to be. Here you will still have a very rigid and linear on-rail shooter mission, so you need to remove the impression of a third person shooter game that allows you to move freely like Shadowgun, Respawnables, and more. I personally feel the third person shooter implementation in Overkill 3 is more compatible with Epoch, minus the movement from one cover to another that makes Overkill 3 seem a bit monotonous when played.

Once you are on a mission, you will be positioned behind a wall of protection that is also the place where you spend time between combat sessions. You can do the cover through a special button that size is quite small and coincide with the switch of weapon change if you play using the smartphone screen. This action button was merged into one with the reload feature, so you'll spend your time filling the bullets and taking cover at the same time. Worse, sheltering behind a wall does not give you the assurance to survive the enemy fire, so in essence you are forced to actively pierce your opponent until they all die not left.

Outside the existence of the cover control is felt a bit problematic earlier, the flow game Overkill 3 the rest runs quite natural to melakoni grinding activity. There is no energy system here, so you can choose any mission you want, shoot enemies, shelter, reload, and repeat once more until the mission is over. The more side objectives (like doing multiple headshots) you do, the greater the score you earn to earn money and medals at the end of the game. Not just shooting action, Overkill 3 also provides an objective variation of on-rail machine gun shooter, time trial, and several other objectives.

If you ask whether Overkill 3 is better than before? So my answer is of course. Through iterations this time Craneballs add some things that make your shooting action feels exciting when played. Start the existence of backup reinforcements that help you fight enemy battles, power-up drones to help you in the midst of war, animated displays and visual effects are quite diverse, detailed backgrounds, and much more.

As the game progresses, you will realize that the accuracy of the resulting attack is influenced by how strongly your weapon upgrades and the enemy level you are fighting. The point is you do not need to be surprised if your shot is often missed, because it's a sign you need to buy a new weapon or buy an upgrade of a special weapon attachment with the money you have. If the money grinding from the previous level alone is not enough, you can also buy some special weapons that can only be purchased with an objective finish medal in the main mission. This medal is not an easily accessible currency, so there's no other way for you than to glance at the option to buy a medal through the IAP offer provided by Craneballs.

For IAP affairs, Overkill 3 is arguably still as expensive as the previous Overkill iteration. Although not overly aggressive at the start of the game, sometimes the special offers that Craneballs provide tempt your faith to set aside some of your money to buy the offered IAP. In addition to these options, Craneballs also provides IAP in the form of elite account purchases that are useful to increase the amount of money and experience you for several hours, as well as the option of purchasing a starter pack to make you feel tough at the beginning of the game.

In closing, Overkill 3 can be quite successful in giving the new life for the whole series of Overkill. Although the third person shooter implementation of this game is sometimes less so gereget, Overkill 3 holds considerable potential if Craneballs are willing to improve control and provide more space for players to explore a limited on-ray shooter game. The good news again, you can also play this game offline, so you do not have to worry about internet connection constantly. The impact of playing offline makes it impossible for you to access the video ad feature to get a medal for free and you also can not buy upgrades if you are not connected to the internet.

Overall, this game is the best iteration of Overkill that deserves to be the beginning of your introduction if you have never played this game series on your smartphone.
