Sort:  

I likes frying string beans with potatoes in butter.

But, if i am going to self sufficient, i better learn some recipes for using canned string beans.

You can just heat up the canned beans and eat them, or cook them with cream of mushroom soup for a cheap meal. :-)
You could also fry up some chopped up bacon and then add the beans to the pan to heat up, they're pretty good that way also.

Ah yes, soup.

If i make some chicken broth (chicken, carrot, onion, celery, water in a pot, simmer for a long time)

And then i add a bunch of canned vegetables (such as string beans)

... is the result canned soup? ^_^
