A baby peach!

This little plant is a peach seedling that grew in our compost! It's amazing little thing, so little yet so full of hope. Just 10 cm tall but already has a grand root system and the will to grow.

Of course we saved it and will plant in a permanent location in fall. In a few years we'll graft a few peach varieties to go along with this brand new one.

    So cute!! Things sprouting in the compost are always amazing - they're hardy and well nourished, by definition. I hope she gets a nice new place to grow and settle.
