Potatoes thriving

I sure do enjoy flooding the internet with photos of plants. I simply enjoy watching them grow and feel you may also be interested in how some plants grow too, so I choose to share some of my perspectives with you

It has sure been a pleasant Spring, at my surprise. Or maybe not so much a surprise, I do say I am fortunate to live in this meteorological bubble known as Angelica Valley. Guarded by the Appalachians some 40 miles northwest, being in the direction of say 90% of the transcontinental weather systems, and situated in a local highland, this locale is prime for vegetation in the Spring.

I hear of the insane flooding out in the Midwest, all the time. And here too, we experience intense flooding on occasion but this season has been light thus far for our home. But things do appear to be intensifying as of late here, and across the nation. Will be interesting to experience the coming Summer storms with my boy James.

Pollen counts are high but that doesn't stop us from venturing into the garden. I choose not to use any medicinal aids and just deal with it as it comes, because you know, that's nature. I can't imagine it causes any harm besides the few sniffles and runny noses associated.

But the bugs... they are the real nuisance. Little black biting gnats. Bloodsuckers and are of the most vicious kind, stopping at nothing to get a drink of your blood. I wear head-nets to keep em off my face and head with long clothing, as my blood type really seems to attract them in the hundreds almost immediately upon setting foot in the grass. I swelter in the Summer sun, but i'd rather that, than a hundred itchy bug bites.. besides the pool is great for cooling off after a good garden sesh.

Mommy and James enjoy a morning nap

Baby James is growing steadily. The garden calls his name in the whispers of the wind... he really does enjoy being outdoors already, it is a blessing.

Strange weather ahead for all, stay safe everyone!

I pray to Heavenly Father.
