Nature Is Funny
Last year in March I planted some onion flower bulbs. These are just for fun, have decorative purpose as the flower is nice. It meant to be a new entry as we have never had it before.
I was hoping to get some nice onion flowers, similar to the one on the box. That was purple but I know there's white onion flower as well.
The result was a big zero! None of the six or seven bulbs had produced a flower, actually there wasn't any sign of the plants. This year my dad has decided to plant mint on that spot.
Look what we got out of the mint seeds. For those who don't know how mint looks like, this is the onion flower planted last year. Here she is!
This is another that were planted this spring. It's just a bud or many little buds, preparing to open.
I'm really happy to see it flowering. It's a nice flower, unusual but nice.
So I was thinking, if last year I planted onion flowers and got nothing, this year my dad planted mint and got onion flowers, following nature's logic, next year we should get mint, right? 😀

I hope that's never going to happen.
Yay! You are the first person from Transylvania I have on my follow list!
There are some seeds/bulbs that seem to take a year to get going it seems. One I was puzzled by are my moon flowers. Like crypto, I planted them one year and was disappointed I didn’t get any moon that year! ;). The very next year, they all sprouted for some reason. Perhaps they were strong seeds that really need to be broken down by heat and cold and wet and dry?
One thing for sure, you have a great and strong onion flower there and hopefully for years to come. I have mint ready to go in the ground and will take your advise and cut everything around it so it has its very own spot.

I'm glad to be the first 😀
Nature is funny for sure or we don't know enough or maybe both.
You're gyto learn how mint acts. I was hoping to get some this year so I can use it for tea but no luck so far. Maybe next year 😁
That's funny. I have some garlic coming up in a spot from last year that I had dismissed as being gone forever. Mother Nature is always up to her tricks but her miracle never cease to amaze me!
Exactly! We have some funny things going on. Every year it happens something strange 😁
