Gonna make fresh cherry jam and syrup

So the other day i spend a good portion of the day picking cherries as one of the women i work for with yard work has 3 cherry trees in her yard but she doesn't do anything with them. Gonna make them in jam and syrup and make a couple jars of halved cherries to save for in christmas baking.

Here we got the bowl and two baskets i picked.

the sorting process sucked, took up most my floor.

Got one basket of bad cherries about half full in the end for compost

Got two full stainless steel bowls of cherries to boil up for the juices to make the jam and syrup. ill have a more detailed post showing the boiling, and the recipe for both the jam and the syrup and preserving some jars of halved cherries for baking later down the road.
