Allow us to share the blessings of nature and introduce you to one of the marvelous new plants we have added to our GOE Seed Bank:
CABBAGE isa delicious and nutritious cruciferous vegetable with lots of manganese, fiber, potassium, B vitamins, folate, copper, choline, phosphorus, magnesium, calcium, selenium, iron, and protein. It is high in antioxidants and anti-inflammatories and can actually promote wound healing if applied topically!
Cabbage grows low to the ground as a big tight head similar to iceberg lettuce but with much higher nutrition.
Cabbage is a cool season vegetable that grows well in spring and fall. Plant them about 4 weeks before the last frost of spring, or 6-8 weeks before the first frost of fall. Give them rich soil, lots of sun, and regular water. They need about 12-24 inches between plants.
Cabbage is recommended for growing in zones 2-10.
Harvest cabbage when the head feels firm when you squeeze it. Cut the head from the base of the plant.
