Mineral Mondays #33 Gem-O-Rama Again! Oct. 13th & 14th

It's already time for another Gem-O-Rama! Time flies when you're getting old.

Gem-O-Rama is one best gem & mineral shows in the world! The reason, it is the only places on earth you can collect hanksite, sulphohalite, and pink halite. I've written about it several times so I'll be quick this time around.

Where: Located in Trona, California

When: October 13th & 14th

Why: Gem and Mineral show plus collecting field trips on the Searles Lake bed to collect pink halite, hanksite, sulphohalite, borax, thenardite & more.

How much?: The show is free, field trips cost $15 & $20.

I will be there Saturday afternoon through Sunday if anyone wants to meet up. If you plan to go out you can either camp at the Trona Pinnacles or stay at a motel in Ridgecrest like I do. A shower is so refreshing after getting dirty all day!
