Today I learned about the town of Konstanz in Germany

Today I learned about the town of Konstanz in Germany, which evaded Allied fire during World War II. The townspeople left the houses and streets lit every night, and because the town was right on the border with Switzerland the Allies thought the town was part of Switzerland, and did not shell it.
