1200: Zwettl in Neder-Oostenrijk wordt opgevoed naar de stad.
1478: De Slag bij Giornico vindt plaats tijdens de Ennetbirgische campagnes. Samen kunnen zo'n 600 Uri en de lokale bevolking een Milanees leger van enkele duizenden mannen verslaan. De Leventina wordt dan permanent bestuurd vanuit het kanton Uri.
1836: Met de proclamatie van de provincie Zuid-Australië begint ook hun kolonisatie in de Britse kolonie Australië.
1857: In de Tweede Opiumoorlog vertrekken Britse en Franse schepen vanaf de Parelrivier met de beschietingen van Canton.
