How To Make Yourself Heard
...here in Steemit?
First rule is be active. But you already knew this. Didn't you? Post, comment, find people who you like and who you think would like your writings or your style.
Use the correct tags, take part in contests, join groups, get involved with different kind of initiatives. Do what you love to do and do it all the way. From the bottom of your heart. Here's a list of different initiatives that you definitely should at least read through, perhaps let the ideas evolve into great posts in your head, and write a blog post when you find something that suits you.

I am not sure if you have to also follow ArtzOne! because I couldn't find the introduction post or info about the rules, but I'm sure ArtzOne! will help you if you are interested and ask.
- get (or make) some #GooglyEyes
- stick them onto something (digitally added eyes are not accepted)
- take a picture (or better make 2 or 3 for better proof of authenticity)
- create a post with the tag #googlyeyes
- post original content & don't spam

I like the new-ish app called steeve.app made by @steeve
Basically you can sort steemit posts by the tags that you are interested in so it's easier to find the content and content creators that would be most interested in your content. Not sure I described that very succintly, but after being on the site for 2.5 years, I find this app immensely helpful as the number of posters has increased exponentially.

And you can add some wonderful contest too, you can promote your pist through some discord channel like esteem, steembasicincome, steemmonsters, asapers, tpot, whaleshares, PAL-minnowsupport and many more. There's also many witnesses who open for many newbies and planktons like steemcommunity, thekitchenfairy, steemblog etc
