Socio-cultural determinants of the personality: political economy, ethnicity and religion, family and schools, informal life events. Personality and character. /part 2/

The human being is not born a person. It is born with all-human talents, of which the ability to become a person in his / her way of life is particularly important. There are two ways of understanding the personality phenomenon: balancing and romance. The personal quality of the individual should be inferred from the requirements of life, not the suggestion that being a person is beautiful, though useless. It is necessary to show that acting as a person suits the individual in life much more effectively than refusing or failing to be a person.

In the above, it can be said that personality is considered more cultural than psychological reality. It starts from the fundamental fact that the company gives its awards and a full recognition of public achievements, that is, deeds, not just because you are a unique individual of unquestionable value. Each individual faces the challenge of proving their value, and once proven, to maintain it, to "preserve their dignity." This is the fundamental difficult personal situation faced by each individual. The socio-cultural approach to the personality is written by Eriksson, Horney, Form. Eriksson's work is still in the halo of classics. Key concepts in Ericsson's concept are: Identity and Identity Crisis. His model of personality, while retaining Freud's drama, gives the man the chance to build his own life. He looks at the whole life path as opposed to Freud. In his view, the meaning of life is to find a positive response, equilibrium and expectation every day.

The new facet of human / social interaction outlines the problematic field faced by the next generation of psychoanalysts after Freud. This is the initial stage of the revision of the orthodox psychoanalysis by Eriksson. At the heart of his original concept of identity is the so-called. an epigenetic pattern of development conceived as an extension of the Freudian psychosexual model. The logic of psychosocial development is preserved, but is built into a wider psycho-sexual context. The dynamics of libido is subject to psychosocial development In his model, Eriksson sets eight stages of development. In the course of ontogenetic development, with increasing radius of activity and communication skills, interpersonal relationships are also expanding. In parallel, society brings to the individual newer expectations with a high degree of indebtedness for social psychological maturity. It requires mastering the skills that a particular culture considers to be inherent at any given age. Reaching the next age characteristic is accompanied by tension and risk.
