About Dante and his "Divine comedy" / part 3/

in #godflesh6 years ago (edited)

"Hell" was written during the exile of Dante, who left home Florence in 1302. However, events that happened earlier have been told and understood. Some explorers use a passage of the 21st song to prove that the first song of "Hell" was begun on the night before Good Friday. In 1300, Dante was 35 years old. right in the middle of the biblical notion of the length of a human life (70 years). He dedicates himself before lunch to climb the mountain. Good Friday. There is a very precise relationship between the treasure house of Christian symbols and the events outlined in the narrative.

While Dante writes "Hell" in exile after 1301, it is too easy for him to make "accurate" predictions about those events that have already happened, and surround his true prophecies with aura of truth. The Dark Forest should be perceived as a metaphor of everything that Dante has, according to Dante, was marked by evil in 1301. Numerous are the transformations of evil: these are inner confusion and sin, the imperfection of the world, political corruption, the lack of true power, the erroneous acts of the Pope, etc. Redemption is associated with the battle, which is led on the hill. It is overwhelmingly difficult because the temptations of viciousness are continuous and inexhaustible. Driven by the whirl of political and partisan passions "on the path of life in the middle," Dante "loses the way right" and "finds himself alone in dark gloom," where every man, locked up in his individuality, is still unpolished celery. His life is still very similar to the existence of animals, plants and stones. The poet is awakened by his mourning, and he's headed for the mountain of happiness in the light. His impulse is constrained by the unleashed three passions in his soul of a man who is still inadequate of his reason: the thirst for the other (panther), his, inherited by his ancestors, the pride (lion) and the greed (the wolf). Dante is possessed by the inherent self-esteem of the earthly people that they are the center of the world.

Dante encounters at the beginning of his journey Vergilius, sent by his beloved Beatrice to become a leader in Hell and the Purgatory. The poet honored in ancient Rome praised peace and justice, honoring the prince Octavian Augustus, who, he said, bestowed them the most successful in Roman society. The Late Antiquity advocate of order and harmony in human society becomes the leader of Dante and accompanies him with his wise counsel and guidance in his stubborn upswing from the bottom of Hell to the steep slope of the Purgatory Mountain to the limits of Paradise where his the leader of God's heaven will become Beatrice. At the beginning of the first rhythm, the two glorified poets (the pagan and the Christian) found themselves in front of the gates of Hell, on which it was written: "You who enter here leave any hope!" Dante has been the victim of despair, which he has endured after a long silence, but it is then that he hears the voice of poetic mind (Vergilius), who calls him to seek the way to Heaven. Vergilius is convinced that one must build up during the earthly days for the dwelling of pure and righteous souls. In the weekly life in which practical skills are more important, poetry could lead us to clearly set, specific goals, but it also gives rise to the urge to seek, awakens a sense of moral duty in our minds, and so immensely sows the seeds of love. At first it is a love for ourselves, but then it becomes love relatives, to ourselves, to our country, and finally to the whole of society. Dante is convinced that society as a living creature of reason must be loved before all other things in man's life.
