About Dante and his "Divine comedy" / part 4/

Vergilius often comforting Dante, reassures his tortured consciousness, assures him that civil unrest in Italy will be overcome by the High Conciliator, which is given in wisdom, virtue and affection, and will bring justice and peace back to people. Thus, the journey of Dante to the Hereafter was inspired and inspired by a pagan poet lit by a prophetic spirit, but was accomplished by a poet, a zealous Catholic, confessing the faith characterizing the atmosphere of the New Age, that God's providence watched over everything in this world. Dante's religious and moral consciousness is fueled by faith and theology. In a world created by God, where everything, due to the very fact that it is donated with existence, is Good, the Evil, caused by the overflowing pride of the first rebellious angel, is in fact a deprivation of Good - the nothingness, the abyss, the nothingness. It is the gloomy depth of despair, of the sorrow of the human being, when it refuses to develop the perfection of its nature. In the world of Dante, this abyss is symbolically represented in the cantic / composite poem / "Hell". The habitation of sinners is depicted by the poet as a gloomy precipice just below the earth's crust in the human-occupied northern hemisphere. It has the shape of a inverted cone whose top reaches the center of the earth, which is actually the center of the universe, and is farthest from God, that is, All-light, place. The bottom of the cone is thrown by the heavens above Lucifer, who is doomed to dwell there until the end of time. In the hellish funnel invented by Dante, there are three categories of sinners: a / sinners unable to master their temperament and their propensity for violence; b) sinners committed violent crimes against priests, temples, and the Church; in / sinners subordinate their mind and their mind to Evil.

The first group is doomed in circles from I to VII, the second suffers its trespasses against the Church in the ten pits of the 8th Circle, and the incorruptible evil-doers are stricken by eternal ice in the depths of the 9th round. Hell is the kingdom of darkness, the "valley of anguish in the abyss," where the man has fallen from the moment in which he has abandoned his mind and virtue in his life. This denial is marked in the first rhetoric / composite poem / symbolically by. The absence of light in the boundaries where the transgressions of the foolish and the wicked are suffered. When a person loses the natural urge to judge his being in a clear consciousness and closes within the limits of his physical existence, he drowns in the abyss of his selfishness and finds himself dizzyingly rotated by the swarm of passions. The poor man turns into a simple break from the material world, which becomes fully subordinate only to his laws. It becomes the center of the influences of the physical and cosmic world, the animal and plant world. The selfishness consists only of a body that engages him, which makes him subject to all kinds of whirlwinds and storms, rains and floods, thunder and burning fires. His human nature sinks more and more into matter without being free from its inherent imperfections.
