Ancient philosophy. Life and creativity of Aristotle. /part 2/

in #godflesh6 years ago (edited)

Aristotle was twice married. After Litiadas, who had a daughter with the same name and who died at 335, he married a Perpuliad from which his son, Nico, was born. It was the philosopher who subsequently left his successor. Because of the political struggles between philosophical schools, Aristotle was still a subject of many attacks. Moreover, his appearance was not attractive. He was small in height, thin, short-sighted, and dull. His lips grew smelly. He was cold, ridiculous and arrogant. Especially he was terrible for his opponents with his lodge and a strictly logical speech. His works illustrate him as a high-ground man who most loves the truth that he gives his whole passion to science and philosophical research, so he has a wonderful focus on reality - both in the world and in the world. With his astonishing gift of systematization, his objectivity in studying facts and foreign opinions and the depth of his original ideas, he is one of the greatest thinkers of all ages. Through him the ancient Greek philosophy passes from his youth to his sober, cold-blooded mature age, that is why he was a millennium for the "Philosopher"

Aristotle's works are two categories: dialogues and scientific, teaching works. Like Plato, Aristotle wrote dialogues, which Cicero later called exemplary in style elegance and gold in content. They were intended for a wide audience. However, the dialogical form is not a poetic work as Plato, and it is a strictly methodical scientific expansion and tracking of the problems in which speech is a speech, proof against evidence. Normally, Aristotle himself is a principal person. Unfortunately, Aristotle's dialogues are only kept in separate fragments. With the exception of the dialogue "Alexander or the colonization," in which Aristotle expresses his opinion on Alexander's policy, declaring against his desire to twin the nations and teaches him to place the Greeks and Macedonians above all other nations as masters was published later, all other dialogues are early works and bear the spirit of Plato. Aristotle here still thinks and feels like Plato at first, but gradually releases and matures his own beliefs until finally, on some essential issues, he ends up with a rift. For example, "Evdem" treats the question of immortality as Plato's "Fedon" and proves it the same way. The teachings of Plato's ideas, reincarnation, the doctrine of remembrance, and so on, are still supported here.

Plato's life has also been written and the dialogue Protropik, which emphasizes the importance of philosophy, calls for its study and, among other things, aims to point out the importance of the academy also in the field of rhetoric-against the attacks of Isokrat. In the doctrine of ideas is also accepted the dialogue "On the good", created by the likeness of "Gorgiy", as well as the dialogues "State" and "Sofiest" have Plato specimens. What Plato views in "Country," Aristotle views him in a dialogue on "Justice." From this period are also the dialogues "On Poetry" and "On Rhetoric". Later, the dialogue "On philosophy" appeared after Plato's death. In him, the doctrine of ideas (especially in his later editing, when Plato's feelings of the Pythagoreans) is contradicted. In the place of the world of ideas is adopted a Divine visible world. In addition, this dialogue gives a certain history of the then philosophy and exposes the public historical perceptions of the philosopher related to a particular religious doctrine. Here, for the first time, is given a logical proof of God's being (the so-called cosmological, supplemented by the theological one).
