Socio-cultural determinants of the personality. The concept of personality comes from the Latin word / persona /, initially meant a theatrical mask. The psychological notions of man, individual, person should not be identified. Personality is not born, but is shaped by the acquisition of social knowledge, skills and experience in the process of socialization. Socialization is the main source of personality. The personality is a combination of social relationships related to its direction and its core values. The personality orientation is formed on the basis of needs. Needs are the main regulators of human behavior. The personality is built gradually in the period up to 18-20 years of age. The development of the personality has three levels: lower; average; altruistically. Individual habits as a result of learning form habits. Habits are a set of skills and actions that help in everyday life. When habits are automated and their performance becomes a need we can not do without, we talk about habits. The habits are positive and negative. The emergence of human consciousness and the construction of the self-image takes place in the process of socialization of man. Simultaneously with socialization there is a process of intellectual development, forming complete notions about the subjects, the phenomena and the social relations. All this we call mental development.

Piage identifies four stages of mental development: a sensomotive stage; post-operative stage; stage of specific operations; stage of formal operations. Intellect is a common behavioral regulator, a set of abilities needed for survival and success in a given culture created in the process of man's mental development. Being a person is one of the code values ​​of the European culture. The ability to be a person is massively. For now, becoming a person is considered an individual achievement. The bitter reality is that a small number of individuals manage to declare themselves as individuals on a sufficiently large scale, while the majority of people are individuals on a narrow bit of scale, if at all we accept the personal fulfillment of the individual.
