Personality orientation: worldview, need-motivation sphere, value system. Norms and ideals.

in #godflesh6 years ago (edited)

The question of direction occupies an important place in the theory of personality. Orientation is the most important property of the person, expressing the basic content of man as a social being. Personality direction has a complex structure. Various authors include components in the personality structure, such as ideals, needs, interests / H. V. Levitov /; needs, interests, ideals, establishment, trends /. L. Rubinstein. Orientation also includes a qualitative feature that includes properties such as: breadth, persistence, intensity, and practicality.

Common features of targeting components: - social conditioning - the whole psyche of man is socially conditioned. The components in the structure of direction are strongly socially conditioned. Linking the person to society and activities is done through its direction and its components, they are closest to the social environment, they get information from it to refer it to the higher psychic components; -dynamic - mental phenomena in the structure of direction have the ability to change relatively quickly. Changes in man's being and place in society change them, even they overtake the being; - multifactorial determinants - mental phenomena are determined as follows: - from the current social environment and events; - from the worldview and the ideology, which as components in the personality direction have an impact on motives, interests, needs; - determined by the persistent general psychic features such as intellect, abilities, character. Intellect and ability define interests, create new needs;

Feed morality - mental phenomena in the structure of direction serve as a transmission between reality and morality. The latter receives information, is enriched by reality through interests, motives, needs, values. While morale has a great deal of resilience, motivations, needs and interests, with great flexibility, on the one hand, feed on morality and on the other, realize it in practice. There are also contradictions between these two systems in the personality: morality, ideology and the worldview have one content formed under certain conditions, and the needs, interests, aspirations and intentions - formed under other conditions and acting in these conditions, to direct the person into one if not the opposite, a lateral line than that contained in ideology, morality, worldview; - form a system that determines the direction and activity of a person - the needs, motives, interests, desires, needs form a dynamic system, as a kind of subsystem in the human psyche.

This subsystem also characterizes the behavior of man in everyday life, it also implements the morality of man in practice. This subsystem has a great deal of flexibility because it is closely related to the activity and the prospects for personality development. If the components of this subsystem form its structure, activity is the main function with which its components are realized;
