Philosophy in the system of scientific knowledge

in #godflesh6 years ago (edited)

The process of distillation, of differentiation / separation / of private sciences from philosophical knowledge, contributes to the more accurate formulation of the subject of philosophy, not to its empowerment, as the representatives of positivism (Auguste Cont), neo-positibi and logical empiricism / Rudolf Carnap, Ludwig Wittgenstein, Bertrand Russell. The so-called representatives of scientism and "linguistic philosophy" believe that philosophy no longer has a specific subject / study that metaphysics has become impossible now as science / similar trends against metaphysics originated from Kant / for philosophy is left to be only a logical analysis of other sciences.

Naturally, such views and such a nihilistic attitude to philosophy as well as attempts to detonologize are extreme and unreasonable, and their bankruptcy is obvious. This demonstrates our decade, in which neo-positivism has reached a dead end. Philosophy is an independent science, a science of the world as a whole, and it explores the most general laws of nature, of society and of thinking; it seeks the meaning of human life in relation to the First Cause of Everything - to God, to Creation, and to the rest of men. Philosophy evaluates the ideals to which man seeks in his or her way of life, and in his own way seeks to reveal the truths which, in the words of St. Paul. Paul-are seen "by looking at the Creation".

PHILOSOPHY IN THE SYSTEM OF SCIENTIFIC KNOWLEDGE.

Philosophy differs from the science of science and at the same time has many similarities with them. It is important for us to clarify the question of which section in the common classification of scientific knowledge we can refer to philosophical science. Philosophy is related to natural sciences, because nature is the object of research and study. In parallel, it is distinguished from natural science, although it is based on the empirical-experimental data it has obtained. The latter studies the various forms of inorganic and organic nature using directly experimental techniques, scientific equipment, laboratories, and so on. On the other hand, philosophy is too close to the mathematical sciences, as both disciplines use utmost abstractions.

Both philosophy and mathematics study forms and relationships that exist in nature, society, and thinking. Philosophy has common features and applied sciences. The methodology of any scientific knowledge and the development of methods and means in the cognitive process are a sort of theoretical tool in scientific knowledge. At the same time, the functions of philosophy are not limited and not associated with such "duty" duties, because it builds its own specific concepts and is theoretical science. Russian philosopher Vendenski defines philosophy as a "worldview scientifically reworked with the help of the theory of knowledge." Because of the philosophical nature of the world, it is usually referred to as the social sciences. But philosophical knowledge in its entirety can not be reduced to just one social content and relationships, and it is not limited to the study of public phenomena. Despite the similarities of philosophy with other analogous scientific disciplines, it is not eclectic, a mixture of heterogeneous elements of different teachings / sum of them, but a separate, particular type of science. The task of special scientific knowledge is the generalization and the thought transition from the single facts and phenomena to the general and the normative.
