Expanding variations of a particular type of social context; More emphasis on quality data and information, not just on quantitative data; Removal of minor differences between basic and applied research; Recognition that science is a public institution with its own rights that influences the relationship with other institutions. Japanese Professor Khabuko Kodama concretizes the future development of psychology in the following areas: Expanding the perimeter of psychological research in ever greater interaction with other sciences; Concretizing psychology towards neurophysiology, psychopharmacology and psychotherapy, forever remaining the mythical question of the self (ego) or personality; Psychology will become a highly technological science; The issue of perfecting human nature will remain open.

There are predictions of increasing the cognitive approach in psychology, which is now making significant progress, freeing itself from rigorous behaviorism. An increase in the role of biological, physiological and biochemical studies of the brain, as well as studies of the relationship between the conscious and the unconscious is envisaged. Further development of the social learning of the Self, the Socialized Self, the cultures of the small peoples is envisaged. Frank Rubenfeld expects modern psychological guidelines to build the foundations of a unified future psychology. Important prospects are identified for the future of psychology by using computers that use computer programs and connect computer theories that involve the variable factors of culture. But in addition to the theoretical directions, psychology is about to move closer to studying everyday life, but also to increasingly approaching academic research, to the problems of practice.

Most of the projections for the future development of psychology are of a very limited nature because they do not take into account the complexity between science and the relationship between psychology and other sciences. In this respect, Some people identifies the subsystems of human science in the development of some learned fields: Science for man as a biological species; Science for humanity; Science of the interaction of man with nature, with the noosphere and the cosmos; Human ontogenetics; Personality or Personality Science; Science for man as a subject of practical and theoretical activity. In order for psychology to play its role in the future in a meaningful way, efforts must be made to overcome a number of shortcomings in the methods and organization of research, on the links between the different branches of psychology, and between psychology and other sciences. The processes of differentiation and integration will deepen.
