Some thoughts about the ethical issues of violence and cruelty /part 5/

Early separation of adolescents from home slows the process of socialization and deprives them of the opportunity to successfully integrate into society. It is also their personal development. There is a direct link between the violence in the family and the subsequent criminal activity of adolescents. Crime is a basic strategy of experiencing street conditions. Nowadays, the world's normal development, well-being and survival are under threat throughout the world.

Violence in childhood helps to create a propensity for violence and consistent behavior in the future. As adults, such people are quickly drawn into the use of alcohol and drugs, with criminal behavior and mental disorders. Victims of ill-treatment are lagging behind in development, experiencing great social and emotional difficulties. Violence against children in the family is very often linked to the fact that in many families after the first marriage there is a second and the foster children fall into disgrace.

The more infantile and self-centered the parents are, the more likely their childhood cruelty is. That is why most of these children from such families are housed in homes. The higher the level of parental consciousness, the better they are aware of their responsibility to children, the less likely are the manifestations of parental cruelty, and hence the childish indifference. In recent years, one of the most striking and shocking acts of child-resistance against children is the killing of children by the mother, or mistreatment by the two parents. This is most common among low-educated women and women of Roma origin. It has been proven that many parents are cruel to children because they have been victims of such violence themselves in their childhood.

Children in the first stage of their development need a good, affectionate attitude, they attach attachment to those who care for them. They are obliged to know that they will take care of them when they are alone. When child carers are predictable and ensure their safety, the child gradually develops a sense of safety, self-confidence and trust in others. The children with whom they have been cruelly treated, the feeling of affection is always associated with anxiety, they are more aggressive to the hostile world and the surrounding people, seeing them as a potential threat to their own safety. On the basis of early primary relationships, the child is modeled on relationships with himself and other people and the world. Children who have not reached love often find themselves incapable of genuinely loving, and they develop a self-masochistic complex.

Great post. Once thing I've learned in life is "Build your own dreams, or someone else will hire you to build theirs."
