Everyone occupies several positions in the social system, each of which implies the existence of certain rights and obligations and is called social status. One can have several statuses, but one of them usually determines his status in society. This status is called the main or integral status. Social status is reflected both in external behavior and outward appearance, as well as in the inner person position.

The sociological literature examines the following varieties of social status: prescribed - a status imposed by society regardless of the efforts and merits of the personality; acquired - a status achieved thanks to the efforts of the personality; natural - meets the essential sustainability characteristics of the personality; occupational duty - the basis of the basic status and in which the socio-economic status of the person is determined. If social status denotes the place occupied by a person in a particular social system, then the social role is a set of actions that a certain person has to perform in a particular system. Each status usually includes several roles. The set of roles resulting from the status we call role-playing. The very social role consists of: role expectations - what we expect from one or another role; role-playing - what we actually do in one or another role.

Some believe that each role can be described using five characteristics: emotion, way of getting, scale, formalization and motivation. Personality development - personality development is a complex process that begins in early childhood and continues to the end of human life. Every culture and every society has its own style of education, which is determined by what society expects from children. At each stage of our development, we either integrate in society or separate from it. Eriksson, introducing the notion of "group identity," thinks that it is formed with the first days of our life when the child begins to understand the world as the group in which the family exists.

Gradually, however, the child forms an ego identity, understood as a sense of continuity and resilience of our "self". It is assumed that in its development a person passes certain stages, the content of which is as follows: * Young - the postpartum stage in which the mother plays a major role, as a result of her child care, confidence in the world is formed. The dynamics of developing this trust depend on the mother. If there is a deficiency in communication with the child, this causes a sudden slowdown in the child's mental development; * Early childhood - lasting until about the third year and is a stage in the formation of autonomy and independence, the child learns to walk and control himself;

Sort:

It means that, getting highest status depend on early stage of life, when the brain is developing. It was also conclude in the grand study, that a person relationships with his mother, father and his environment, and poverty really affect his social status level and development.
