A Rare View Inside A Bee-Hive. Filling The Combs!!!

Hey everyone, I installed these sight windows in this hive a few months ago. We recently harvested two 80% full supers from this massive swarm about 3 weeks ago. Generally they say put only one super on at a time however this swarm is so incredibly large if we do not install two there simply will not be enough space in the hive for all the bees, and they just do not want to split, which normally they do in Summer.

I took this video yesterday of the incredible progress these bees have made in building the combs in just three short weeks!

Bees build from the middle up so to see the very top side super almost fill with honey in such a short time is extremely positive, meaning the bottom super is more than likely 100% full. We will wait another 2-3 weeks for this honey to become mature and the bees to cap the combs in which case it will become ripe for harvest again.

In the interim we will be putting another 2 supers ontop of this hive in order to get at least 30% of the colony in the top two supers to start working and to minimize bee losses and damage when we harvest the next time around.

Have a sneaky peak at this video a full comprehensive illustration of the bees working on the top super inside the hive. Just look at that honey and nectar, have you ever seen anything as incredible as this?

Trust you have an incredible day.

Be sure to stay tuned for more of me epic bee-keeping adventures!
