Street Art #175 2019 Mural Festival Day 1, Montreal (Canada)

in #graffiti5 years ago

2019 Mural Festival began yesterday. The street artists took possession of their wall. Some old murals have been erased. And new walls will be embellished. It'll be an exciting week to see each artist's creative process and the different stages of their work.

As I said in my last post Short Street Art #21 Sara Erenthal, many artists take this opportunity to show their new works near the Festival. Really nice to see all this creativity in early summer (especially that the sun is present, first time this year, spring was awful), today some collages by Mateo (if you want more information about him, Street Art #039).

Today I just show you the different locations of the artists near the Main Area and the murals that have been erased to make way for new ones. Ephemeral...

It's the main artist of this year's festival with also an solo exhibition at Station 16 Gallery.

Miss Van

I appreciate a lot the work of Miss Van. First time, I saw one, some years ago in Roma (Street Art #005)...

Ola Volo

Pristine wall for Ola Volo with a lot of windows. Only a draft with few lines...

Gleo

Huge wall for the Colombian artist Gleo. Every time I passed closed, I wondered why this wall wasn't used by Mural Festival... It'll be great, especially with Mont-Royal in the background.

Yeah. Agree. loved it when I was here in Mauritius in 2017 for the Porlwi cultural festival. They even worked at night with lights on.
