Wheat Harvest Coming Soon...
Late last summer, we tossed around the idea of experimenting with growing our own wheat. So, last September I sowed around 4 lbs. of hard red winter wheat. We had a somewhat delayed spring here, and I had my doubts whether or not the wheat would make it. Gladly I was wrong and it appears like a good harvest is almost here. We intend to harvest with a traditional European scythe fitted with a somewhat more modern grain cradle, tie into sheaves, place in loose shocks to finish drying in the field before threshing. We enjoy making homemade bread, so this will be a thrill to use our own flower. This wheat is not certified non-GMO. However, I am looking for an ancient heirloom grain to sow this coming fall. Anyone with idea's or sources for heirloom grains, please feel free to share that information.

@therealwolf 's created platform smartsteem scammed my post this morning (mothersday) that was supposed to be for an Abused Childrens Charity. Dude literally stole from abused children that don't have mothers ... on mothersday.
