Gratitude Day 28/62 - "Resilience"

in #gratitudeday6 years ago (edited)

Hello dear friends...

There is a word that since I learned it, has been a topic of reflection and study for me; That word is "Resilience". The origin of this word is found in physical science, where through experimental studies, the ability of a material to recover its original state after being subjected to great pressures is verified. It works by means of adjustment and limit mechanisms, that is, when a material is altered and reaches the limits, mechanisms are activated that act to recover the conditions prior to that alteration.

In an allegorical sense, the concept of "Resilience" has been applied to those people who, because of their integrity, tenacity and enthusiasm, continue to move forward despite adversity. These people are known for having an optimistic attitude in life and some They call it "positivism", however, if the person does not have a firm base or strong motivation, this positivism vanishes and the person could fall into a deep depression where they will even require specialized medical help.

We must understand that, as in physics there are mechanisms of adjustment and limits, in humans there are also, and in the case of Christian people this mechanism is called FAITH and constitutes a kind of "Principle of spiritual Resilience". This principle is not subordinated to our inner strength, because it is not about becoming super enthusiastic, but to be "BELIEVERS", not in anything, but believers in God and in his promises clearly established in His Word. In the Christian, the principle of spiritual Resilience acts by the "Faith", and this is what makes "ordinary" people "extraordinary" as we see it in Hebrews 11.

Because the source of my personal resilience is in Jesus Christ. He is that timely help, he is the one who restores my life when for some reason I fall or faint. The Lord gives me strength and makes me green because He is that source of living water.

I am very grateful because the greatest act of resilience that God did in our lives, he did through Jesus Christ to lift us from our own spiritual death and offer us a new life through the perfect sacrifice made on the Cross of Calvary.

Lord, thank you for your love and mercy.
