Balos Lagoon is located on the western side of the island I am currently visiting, Crete. I may be biased but for me the most beautiful beaches are located on this side of the island. A MUST SEE if you visit my favorite island.
I did! If you're based in Chania it's an easy boat or bus ride away. It's also very shallow and deeper where there is more color. It's actually more beautiful in person if that is even possible.
