Driver responsible for Humboldt Broncos tragedy pleads guilty

The truck driver who decimated the Humboldt Broncos team last spring by stamping their bus pleaded guilty Tuesday in Melfort, Saskatchewan.

Several media reported that Kaskirat Singh Sidhu acknowledged his responsibility for the 29 charges of dangerous conduct he faced.

Kaskirat Singh Sidhu was driving the truck that hit the bus carrying the Broncos junior team on April 6th. The accident, which left 16 dead and 13 wounded, caused a huge wave of sympathy across the country.

After a lengthy investigation, the Calgary trucker was charged with this collision. He faced 16 charges of dangerous driving causing death and 13 charges of dangerous driving causing injury.
