Allowing Your Kids Access To Firearms

There is a movement in Texas following the most recent school shooting to re-examine the accessibility of firearms to children. The kid that shot up the last school is 17 years old. Not old enough to own a firearm under Texas Law.

The story in the link below is why we need to tread cautiously with regards to ANY changes in gun laws here in Texas - under the Governor's proposed changes, the parents would be charged for allowing their son access to a firearm!

The Office of the Governor Greg Abbott is WRONG about his proposal to make it illegal for minor's to be able to access firearms in their homes. Time and again, teens across this country have defended themselves and other family members because they COULD access a firearm in a time of need.

STOP PUNISHING THE INNOCENT FOR THE CRIMES OF THE CRIMINAL!!!

The Second Amendment makes NO RESTRICTIONS on firearm ownership.

Here is the Mississippi news story of a kid protecting himself from a home intruder.

Thanks for reading my blog.

Do Americans ever wonder why other democracies around the world don't have this problem?

You mean the problem of an overbearing tyrannical government that hates freedom?

I agree 100%, disarming good people will accomplish nothing.

If it's already illegal
what good will another law do?

I know it’s NOT about keeping anyone safe. In fact the opposite is true.

Yup...I'm very disappointed In Abbot for even considering such a thing.

He is all talk. He could have passed Constitutional Carry last session but failed to get it done. The NRA can suck a dick.
