Tattered Butterfly Haiku (also Yellow Color Challenge)

tattered and beaten
yet still you fly
rest your wings and drink

I know that isn't much but something about this butterfly just touches me right now. Look at those wings. It's been through something awful. Yet it flew around the butterfly bush, collected lots of nectar, and didn't seem to be giving up and wanting to curl up in a corner and die. I admire that strength.

The country is in a pretty bad drought state. My husband does some watering of our gardens, which probably helps butterflies and insects stay alive right now. We've put water out a few places also to make it accessible to bugs and birds.
