The 22nd edition of Mizu no Oto – Every Image Has Its Haiku has come to an end.
This week we have again exceeded our record of participants, touching the number of 30! Thank you all!
This popularity is the sign that we are doing things right, and that we must continue on this path to make them better and better, with your precious help.
The vast majority of entries come from Spanish speakers, especially from Venezuela. Only 5 haiku out of 30, this week, come from poets who are more at home with English.
This situation makes it necessary, in my opinion, a reflection... first of all, the texts of the contest posts will henceforth be bilingual. This will stretch the posts a bit, but it's worth it.
Secondly, I have a question for you. You can answer me in the comments, if you want.
Admitted and not allowed that @f3nix agrees to a budget increase in prizes, what would you think to duplicate the Best Haiku and the Popular Choice?
Would you be in favor of having a Best Haiku in English and a Best Haiku in Spanish, and so the same for the popular choice?

Esta semana hemos superado nuevamente nuestro récord de participantes, ¡tocando el número de 30! ¡Gracias a todos!
Esta popularidad es la señal de que estamos haciendo las cosas bien y que debemos continuar en este camino para mejorarlas con su valiosa ayuda.
La gran mayoría de las entradas provienen de hispanohablantes, especialmente de Venezuela. Solo 5 haiku de los 30, esta semana, provienen de poetas que se sienten más cómodos con el inglés.
Esta situación hace que sea necesario, en mi opinión, una reflexión... en primer lugar, los textos de los post del concurso serán en adelante bilingües. Esto estirará un poco los post, pero vale la pena.
En segundo lugar, tengo una pregunta para usted. Puedes contestarme en los comentarios, si quieres.

[ENG] I am very happy that Calluna has decided to participate, even though she has expressed many doubts. She got involved, tried to use less syllables than usual, to obviate the fact that English expresses a lot with short words. In haiku "less is more". Two images, one that reinforces the other or contrasts it. This must be a haiku, and Calluna has succeeded, with her usual elegance in writing. There is the orange of twilight, while everything is asleep and dreaming; there is the seasonal notation kigo and the trees still bare, but already waiting for the bloom, that stand out against the sky.
[ES] Estoy muy feliz de que Calluna haya decidido participar, aunque ha expresado muchas dudas. Ella se enredó, trató de usar menos sílabas de lo habitual, para obviar el hecho de que el inglés expresa mucho con palabras cortas. En haiku "menos es más". Dos imágenes, una que refuerza la otra o la contrasta. Este debe ser un haiku, y Calluna ha tenido éxito, con su habitual elegancia en la escritura. Ahí está el color naranja del crepúsculo, mientras todo está dormido y soñando; Ahí está la notación estacional kigo y los árboles todavía desnudos, pero ya esperando la floración, que se destacan contra el cielo.

[ENG] Both @lecumberre and @charjaim have won two votes. Their two haiku are of equivalent value, in my opinion. So, talking about it with @f3nix, we decided to reward them both.
Lecumberre's haiku with its "light in extremis" gives us a very original and musical verse, to introduce the memory, veined of melancholy, of a love that was too short.
The haiku of Charjaim, on the other hand, is "in search of silence", a search through immersion in the contemplation of nature, which can placate the noise of thoughts and society.
[ES] Tanto @lecumberre como @charjaim han ganado dos votos. Sus dos haiku son de valor equivalente, en mi opinión. Entonces, hablando de eso con @f3nix, decidimos recompensarlos a ambos.
El haiku de Lecumberre con su "luz in extremis" nos da un verso muy original y musical, para presentar el recuerdo, veteado de la melancolía, de un amor demasiado breve.
El haiku de Charjaim, por otra parte, está "en busca de silencio", una búsqueda a través de la inmersión en la contemplación de la naturaleza, que puede aplacar el ruido de los pensamientos y la sociedad.

Trató con alto lenguaje poético el tema de la caída de las hojas árboles al desnudo, la noche que se acerca tarde de ébano y (Aunque fue el inicio lo dejé para el final) hizo una equivalencia entre el otoño como estación y el otoño como senectud con una sola palabra: Postrimería.
