BABY GOAT - NEW BUCKLING ON THE HOMESTEAD!!!
We were waiting for this!
Recently, our doe Daisy has been approaching the time to give birth. We knew it was close, so we've been monitoring her and getting ready. Earlier today, @mama-pepper heard Daisy crying out a bit. When the @little-peppers went to check, they noticed something interesting.
Yup, the process was starting, so we got ready. She began to push with her contractions, and was resting in between. Soon, we noticed a tiny hoof protruding. Ideally, there should have been two hooves, but things were starting.
We recorded some of it to put together into a video too, so that should be out soon. For now, we'll just let you know it was successful and we've got a new little buckling on our homestead!!! Enjoy these photos!

Awe, baby goats are so cute. :D I'm so glad mom and baby are both doing well. :D There is nothing quite as beautiful and messy as birth, its just like life, its messy and sometimes tough, but so worth every moment of it, enjoy the new little one. :D

Woohoo! Birth days are the best days! None of my does are pregnant this year so I will have to enjoy goat births vicariously. Congratulations on your new arrival!

Congrats! What are you going to name the new buckling? Do a pool with the choices and let the community decide, it would be really cool!
I was thinking of having a "name that goat" contest, but the family has already decided on "Pocket." Don't worry, there should be some lambs soon enough!
Pocket? Why? xD What will you call the next one... trousers? Tie? Underwear xD?

When we had baby goats on our place, Bitsy had done her thing before I got there, so when I went to take them out of their stall for the day, I was greeted by the trilling calls of adorable twin bucklings.
I miss our babies. We'll definitely have goats again in the future. Few things as cute as a baby goat
