Hashgraph flaws
So Hashgraph is an interesting coin idea.
Hashgraph is said to be a more robust system. Its consensus algorithm provides a new platform for distributed consensus. Some of the attributes commonly used to refer or describe Blockchain are distributed, transparent, consensus-based, transactional and flexible. Hashgraph bears all these features. However, it is a data structure and consensus algorithm that is much faster, fairer, and more secure than blockchain. It is described as future of distributed ledger technology. It uses two special techniques to achieve fast, fair and secure consensus.
The tech side sounds cool. However Hashgrah at its current states has huge flaws. Let me put a twitter thread showing the problems. This thread was made by Jackson Palmer in Twitter. Anyway here it is:
No chain can be 100% efficient and running more than 100 nodes=takes up some worth of energy.

So basically what defines the network if 2/3 of the network doesn't do any change?
Guess the code is not opensource.....
Yeah unless a new Hashgraph is made, Hashgraph is not the future!!!!

Definitely an interesting concept, but from my understanding, it still needs a real-world test. Either way, it is good that people are trying to push what is possible for sure.
um? I kinda highlighted the bad things about it. I don't think it is good on what they are pushing but the tech sounds neat. And yeah the tech is still in testnet.
Agreed, but the concept of hashgraph is what I was referring to. Yes it has issues and needs work but so does Eth ;-)
Patents kinda last for 10 years so I guess we have to wait for 10 more years unless someone finds an alt using the same concept.
