The Ocean and Erosion Affect Hawaii's Coastline

The rising waters are starting to eat into the coastlines around the Hawaiian Islands. Residents are calling for the State Government to come up with a solution, and are criticizing State Officials for inaction. The BIG problem however is that it is not the State's fault. This is mankinds problem, born out of the arrogance of thinking things man make last forever, and also that mankind can control nature.

The reality is that nothing lasts forever, and mankind cannot control nature.

People are blaming the Government, and saying it is the Government's responsibility to save their property. It is time people wake up and realize it is NOT the Government's responsibility. They were not complaining when the values of their ocean front property skyrocketed, and now when that value is threatened its the Government's fault.

Throughout history people moved when the environment changed. Now people want to stop the change. The world needs to wake up and come to grips with the fact that change is inevitable.

We live on an island in the middle of the Pacific Ocean with a lot of development on the coast and the sea level is rising.
