Volcano Lava Glow at Night from Kapoho House
My friend who's been helping me and another friend watch over our house while we travel, took these photos of the night time sky, of the intense glow.
Imagine that the night time scene is this ... constant glowing of the hot molten lava that just flows across the landscape.
These photos are just absolutely unreal.
The flow into the ocean continues, although right now as of June 10, it seems that activity is only confined to Fissure 8 flow.
Sadly, MANY homes have been lost especially the Kapoho neighborhoods of Vacationland. And I'm sad that the famous and beautiful Wai'opae Tide Pools are gone as well.
Below is the best photo, showing the contrast of Hina (Hawaiian goddess of moon) and Pele (Hawaiian goddess of volcano/fire)
I still am not sure when I'll ever be able to return to that house in Kapoho, as the lava from Fissure 8 continues to flow in channelized manner into the ocean. So for now, again, access to the house has been completely cut off.

Wow this is a great natural disaster, the volcanic eruption is massive and the volcano lava flow is causing much damages to homes and the surrounding environment , I just hope that no lives is lost this is a bad disaster @hustletoparadise

Volcanic eruption is a beautiful disaster. But @hustletoparadise isn't it dangerous for you to capture this photo?
