Berries are an all-time favourite, but, unfortunately, they are available only in summers. But, we can eat dried and frozen all the year right. They are not only delicious at the taste but also contain a massive amount of nutrients. Since they are loaded with antioxidants and fibre, they are an amazing food choice on the earth. You can make a lot of smoothies with this. But have you ever made a jam out of it? Let's dive into the very simple procedure of berries jam.

Take a bowl of your favourite kind berries. If strawberries are your choice, you may have to cook it for some time. Our recipe has to be easy right, so go for small items such as frozen blueberries, blackberries and raspberries. The other most important ingredient in this list is, of course, chia seeds. These seeds are loaded with omega 3 fatty acids, which also give the dish a very smooth texture.

Now here the procedure. Firstly, add the frozen berries into a bowl. Let it sit for 20min or so, as they need to defreeze. Or you could use a microwave to do the same job in very less time. Add a little bit of apple juice which is about 2 to 3 tablespoons and add chia seeds. Add a little bit of original maple syrup or organic raw honey depends on your sweet cravings. Then mix the whole mixture thoroughly as to get a consistency of regular jam, thereby letting it sit for about half an hour by stirring it at regular intervals. That’s it, your jam is ready now.

Normally for berries jam, people tend to cook for a significant amount of time. I feel by doing this it may lose some of the nutrients. So, I prefer to make a healthy jam like this every week to store in the fridge and have it whenever I want to. Replacing sugar with original maple syrup or organic honey is the best alternative which does wonders to your system.
