great post! people don't talk about vitamin E too often but it shouldn't be overlooked :)

I take vitamin E to have a beautiful skin and hair but i dont know some of the benefits for taking vitamin E. Now i know the effects if you are deficient with this vitamin and also the right mg for my age. Nice. Great post.

Little known fact about vitamin E supplementation is that it can actually cause inflammation in certain people, depending on 3 specific genetic variants that have been identified in genes related to inflammation signaling molecules. I rarely see ever clients that don't have at least one of those gene variants.

Definitely get plenty of E from food, but most people should really avoid supplementing with doses of extra E beyond what might be found in most multivitamins or skincare products. It's one of the reasons generally why long term E supplementation has been shown to cause more problems than its worth.
