The Visitor.

I could tell she was in pains. She turned and winced everything the bus went through a gallop or pot hole. I also noticed the look on the face of the guy she entered the bus with. Was that disgust? What could she have done2 deserve such look. Twasn't my business right? Back to my phone. Needed to finish a post before hitting the gym.

The bus stopped to pick someone and she refused to shift, insisting the new passenger went in which he refused. After a little argument, she stood up and I saw it. She was stained. The guy she was with saw it too and the look of disgust in his face got worse. I was pissed. Seriously? The new passenger was a nicer guy, told her she could sit and before I highlighted, he talked to her about some pain relievers she could take and to be careful not to get stained next time.

Menstration isn't a curse or something to make a girl ashmed of. If you wouldn't mind a little education, I'd be more than happy to share a few things you need to know about girls and periods.

Periods are really crappy and painful It makes us crazy. I guess this has been drummed down your ears more often than not.

Before the onset of Periods, we experience something called PMS (Pre-Menstrual Symptoms). Below are some of the symptoms:

  1. Acne/pimples
  2. Sore breasts/nipples
  3. Headaches
  4. Food craving
  5. Irritability
  6. Depression
  7. Trouble handling stress
  8. Mood swings
  9. Backaches
  10. Cramps
  11. Diarrhea

Are you still wondering why Bae acts up and gives you attitude just before or during her monthly visit? Worry no more and blame us not. It's PMS that switches our brain into default setting. It's not easy going through these changes. Just imagine if your phone restored itself to default setting and instead of the nice ringtone you put, you'll now be hearing that annoying Nokia ringtone. We know it can be upsetting but that's how we're wired.

There are few ways you can help help the situation and control our excesses during that period. Here's some:

  1. Attention.
  2. More Attention.
  3. Be nice and understanding
  4. Be extra nice and understanding
  5. Some cravings we maybe having. Chocolate, ice cream, meat etc.
  6. Cuddling
  7. Warm hugs
  8. Sweet and soothing words
  9. Fix a warm bath or hot tea.
  10. Be on your best behaviour. Be a gentleman.

If you meet more than five of these requirements, we'll get through this period without a fight. If you don't, well, don't say I didn't warn you. Sometimes, your efforts may be met with resistance.. Understand that we're not our normal selves. Even if she screams at or snubs you, it's PMS that's goading her to be annoying.
We're girls. It's in our DNA. Don't blame us. It's just once a month, love us and live with it.

We are powerful jare.... A friend of mine likes a quote that says

It is an insult for a woman to be comparing her strength with that of men.

Let's not even think of the child bearing part.
