What is IT ? DIABETES || SUGAR

in #health6 years ago

What ALL things Causing IT?

In this busy life we are more worried about our external things instead of our internal stuffs. We care more about what we wear, what we ride, what we see rather than what things we put inside our mouth or how we keep our body. This is causing so many diseases which we are not aware of. Come let’s see by examples.
The day we start with consider any toothpaste has lot of chemicals(there will be separate article regarding this in future) in it with primary substance is sugar. Without knowingly or unknowingly we are adding sugars into our body once we wake up. Ready made food will mostly consist of sugar minimum 20% - 40% based on your choices

  • Biscuits(Salt) - 22% (This will have inverted sugars)
  • Biscuts(Normal) - 40%
  • Drinks - Above 50%
  • Bread - Body prepares sugars within an hour

What is sugar - (Is sugar used as Business model ?)  Sugar is by-product of molasses which is mainly used for liquors. To produce liquors we harvest sugarcane in huge quantities.
As the by-product is generated in large quantities and lot of sugar is left over, Last 100-200 years ago so called intelligent people started including it in ready made food. So that the by product sugar is sold to humans by which these sugar generating companies can loot the money. Just observe the fries or chips packets there will be invert sugars in the contents (Invert sugars are nothing but sugars but the taste of it will not be observed). This is the one of the main reason’s diabetes are increasing.

What is food ?

Food is any nutritious substance that people or animals eat or drink or that plants absorb in order to maintain life and growth.
But these days what we consider as food is not helping life and growth, but health is declining.

Main source of food across the world

  • Wheat
  • Rice

(Taking India into picture) Wheat and Rice is a child of best marketing strategies.   Past 100-200 years according to studies, sugar was coming to 1 in 10,000 people but now it is coming to 1 in 10. So what are the changes we did so that disease rate is increasing drastically ? Are we eating something else which our forefather was not eating and this may be the reasons for all the increase of dieseases?

There are several factors for this

- Life Style changes

- Earlier a person was walking around 18km a day, but now it has reduced to 0.8 km.

- Idle in one place.(Because of the work we are doing today)

- Junk food or bad diet   - Obesity  - Tensions and mental stress

What is Digestion ?

Process of breaking down complex food into simpler parts, so that body is able to observe for its Growth and energy is called Digestion
Below are the steps

  • Mouth

Entry point for food but digestive system often gets ready before we start eating. Saliva is released by salivary glands into oral cavity when we smell food. Once we take food into mouth, chewing breaks food into smaller particles so that salivary glands attach to food. Also out teeth helps food to get grind in this process. Through the help of tongue and roof of mouth food is moved to pharynx and esophagus.

  • Pharynx and Oesophagus

This is where act of swallowing takes place and this is very complex why because if the food should not enter wind pipe instead of Oesophagus. Once food enters esophagus, food is moved down the esophagus and into stomach. Once food approaches stomach, a muscular valve (the lower esophageal sphincter) relaxes and lets the food pass into the stomach. This sphincter has the important function of closing the stomach so no food or stomach acid reenters the esophagus

  • Stomach

From glands that line the stomach, acid and enzymes are secreted that continue the breakdown process of the food. The stomach muscles further mix the food. At the end of this process, the food you placed in your mouth has been transformed to a thick creamy fluid called chyme.
This thick fluid is then pushed into the duodenum (the first part of the small intestine). With the help of enzymes from the pancreas and bile from the liver, further breakdown of the food occurs in the small intestine.

  • Small intestine

The small intestine has three segments. The first segment is the duodenum where further breakdown of the food takes place. The next two parts of the small intestine (jejunum and ileum) are mostly responsible for the absorption of nutrients from the processed food into the bloodstream through the walls of the intestine.

  • Large intestine

Your large intestine is the final part of your digestive tract. Undigested food enters your large intestine from your small intestine. It then reabsorbs water that is used in digestion and eliminates undigested food and fibre. This causes food waste products to harden and form faeces, which are then excreted

  • Rectum

This area allows food to pass from the small intestine to the large intestine. The colon is where fluids and salts are absorbed and extends from the cecum to the rectum. The last part of the large intestine is the rectum, which is where feces (waste material) is stored before leaving the body through the anus Other parts like liver and pancreas plays a vital role in digestion by producing chemicals required to break down food.
- Pancreas: Although the pancreas is mostly known for its blood sugar regulatory function with the production of insulin (as part of the endocrine system -- he insulin goes directly from the gland into the bloodstream), it is the main producer of digestive enzymes as part of the exocrine system (the enzymes produced by the gland pass through a duct into the intestines). These enzymes are released into the duodenum and help with the digestion of fats, proteins, and carbohydrates..
- Liver: The liver produces bile for fat digestion and elimination. In addition, nutrients are stored in the liver, and toxins and chemicals are filtered by liver.

  • Gallbladder: Bile is stored and released from the gallbladder. When fatty food enters the duodenum, the gallbladder contracts and releases bile.

So it is said that there are around 108 steps to break the food we eat to prepare Sucrose which is required to our body day to day activities.

Sucrose = Glucose + Fructose

You may be thinking why I am saying all these stuffs right ? Yes, I wanted to make you know that things we eat these years will reduce number of steps to convert food to Sucrose.

That means faster the generation of sucrose in our body due to refined food we eat like chocolates, drinks, biscuits, pizzas, pastas, etc etc.

So sucrose is generated in our body this is released to blood to distribute it to our cells in faster rate. We are not giving time for body to utilize the sugar generated in the body, but we are bombarding it with additional sugars now and then. So our bodies are in confusion state of mind and it is not able to know what we need to do with large quantities of sugars present in our body.

Glucose which is present in the blood stream is converted into energy by using insulin(Generated by pancreas)

Glucose + Oxygen -> CO2 +H20 + Energy(CAL)

So if the glucose is more in the blood stream then we call this situation as diabetes or Sugar disease.

So, What happens if Glucose is more in our blood stream?
Multiple things can happen because of this, Firstly once sugar is more this caused blood to become concentrated like thick sugar syrup which obstruct blood flow over the body.
If Blood sugar is more then body mechanism tries to convert this glucose to energy using insulin. If then body is consumed then there is no issues but if body does not consume this energy. This will be stored in different manner.
This sugar will be converted to glycogen which will be flowing in blood stream. If this is more this glycogen will be turned to fat which will be stored all across the body. This is when we become obese. This is body's mechanism by which in case of hunger and energy is less, it converts this fat to energy.

If this fat is also more then this glucose will sit on layers of veins, where blood is flowing. Because of this veins can have very less blood flow which finally leads to brain damage and may cause paralysis. This can also lead to heart attack.

If this is also more then glucose will be sticked on RBC cells. The primary function of red blood cells is to transport oxygen to body cells and deliver carbon dioxide to the lungs. Because of this deposition of glucose upon RBC cells, supply of oxygen and removing of carbon dioxide from body will not happen properly, which leads to fatigue even we eat more and more food diabetes patients will feel tired because of this reason.

So Sugar test before food and after food is not recommended to know the diabetes level. We should have HBIC blood test. From this report we can come know the status of diabetes.

Below is the report summary we can understand as given below

6 - Everything is OK

6.5 - Diabetes Border level

7 - 15 - Diabetes Greater than 9 - Damage can happen to Retina, kidney and brain and also gangrene of multiple organs.

So Please get HBIC Blood test and check your status. And plan accordingly.

Also in coming days I will create on more article on what to eat and how can we save ourself to get rid of this small disease DIABETES (Sugar)

Take care guys. See you all soon.  - Ref by Session of Dr Khader
