I would have never thought that I could finish a 5K (3.1 miles) “race” on foot. Back when I was 405 lbs, walking ONE MILE was a challenge. Biking 6 miles every other dat definitely helped with my stamina. Don’t get me wrong, I didn’t run the entire thing. I walked some too. I think I’m going to incorporate some running into my routine. It just feels like I’m getting a different workout, even though biking is a lower body workout too. It took me 50 minutes to finish, which is about 16 minutes per mile.There is a track at the school where I work and hardly anyone uses it. That’s about to change. I’m going to use that after work at least twice a week.
