Drones Delivering Medical Supplies In A Growing Number of Countries

in #health5 years ago (edited)

Drones are being used to deliver medical equipment in a growing number of areas worldwide today, including Switzerland, the U.S., Ghana, Rwanda, Sweden, and elsewhere.

The drones might help to save lives by delivering life-saving medical equipment and more because they can do it faster than traditional methods.

If you are suffering from a heart attack, seconds can make the difference between life or death. Drones can and have been used to deliver medical equipment such as AED equipment that can help heart attack patients.

For every minute that passes, the chances of survival are greatly diminished, drones are able to quickly deliver equipment that can help to save someone's life.

Not only might we start to see drone medical deliveries in populated urban areas, but a variety of companies have also been seeking to establish medical deliveries in rural areas overseas; regions that have poor roads and many people with a need for access to medical supplies. This delivery method is not only fast but it's also cost effective.

From transporting blood samples to delivering AED equipment, there are a variety of tasks that drones might be able to accomplish for us.

Drone Ports In India..

According to the Union Minister of state for aviation in India, J. Sinha, the country is looking toward establishing drone ports in hospitals and allowing drone operators to fly drones without having a line of sight.

Eventually, they want the drones to enable quick transportation of harvested organs between hospital facilities.

Flying drones has now recently become legal in India, there are a variety of restrictions surrounding private and commercial drone activity. Anyone interested in flying one will need to complete training at an approved training organization and pay for their permit. They've also got to be at least 18 years old and must meet a minimum English requirement; among other restrictions.

To streamline the drone process, officials in India have created what's described as a Digital Sky platform, the first of its kind, a national unmanned traffic management platform that is a medium for drone users to get permission to fly.

Next, it's expected that the government will be looking toward creating drone ports and air corridors that can help with their transportation plans of human organs between hospitals.
