The science of healing
Operating was not always considered a cure, much less an opportunity for those who were or are in danger, from the beginning there were two thoughts in the minds of humans: curiosity, mother of all sciences and development of individuals and faith, emancipatory of religions, mysticism and beliefs that still endure to the present day sun. So different and so anchored in their minds that those who defended some ideas contradicted others. Thus, despite man's insatiable curiosity in ancient times to know how our bodies functioned, the diseases and mysteries of life, they were refuted as acts against religion and "good" beliefs.
Little by little the understanding grew as the explanations and science mitigated the diseases. Medicine found the right support and the temple of each person who needed it was intervened for a single purpose: to save lives.
Surgery has since been the mainstay of salvation from many traumatic accidents, but today we will not tell a medieval story, today they are not accidents or dying people. Advances in recent decades have allowed so-called rescue surgeries to improve the quality of life of adults, the elderly, young people and children who are now part of an active society. These are the faces of children who once had a disease and are now accepted as any individual in the world.

Operar no siempre fue considerado una cura, ni mucho menos una oportunidad para aquellos que se encontraban o se encuentran en peligro, desde el principio existieron dos pensamientos en la mente de los humanos: la curiosidad, madre de todas las ciencias y del desarrollo de los individuos y la fe, emancipadora de religiones, misticismos y creencias que aún perduran hasta el sol de hoy. Tan diferentes y tan ancladas en las mentes, que quienes defendían unas ideas se contradecían con las otras. De esta manera, pese a la curiosidad insaciable del hombre en tiempos antiguos de conocer el funcionamiento de nuestro cuerpo, las enfermedades y los misterios de la vida, estos eran refutados como actos en contra de la religión y de las “buenas” creencias.
Poco a poco el entendimiento fue creciendo a medida que las explicaciones y la ciencia mitigaban las enfermedades. La medicina encontró el soporte adecuado y el templo de cada persona que lo necesitara era intervenido con un solo propósito: Salvar vidas.
La cirugía ha sido desde entonces el pilar de la salvación de muchos accidentes traumáticos, pero hoy no contaremos una historia medieval, hoy no son accidentes ni personas agonizando. Los avances en las últimas décadas permitieron que ahora las llamadas cirugías de rescate permitieran mejorar la calidad de vida de adultos, ancianos, jóvenes y niños que ahora forman parte de una sociedad activa. Estas son las caras de niños que alguna vez tuvieron una enfermedad y ahora son aceptados como cualquier individuo en el mundo.
Femoral Epiphysiolysis Capital
Epiphy....What? Complex words were really born meant for medicine, and the name of this disease is definitely no exception. Fractures in children tend to be different, in principle and primarily because they are growing and the fragility of the bones makes timely treatment essential. But in other cases such as this one it can go unnoticed causing growth disorders, this type of fractures are specifically in the hip, in the hip growth nuclei, and its involvement produces gait disorders that are noticeable and therefore require timely treatment.
In other words, scientific terms: Proximal femoral epiphysiolysis or proximal femoral epiphyseolysis or proximal femoral epiphyseal slippage consists of a displacement of the epiphysis over the metaphysis through the growth plate. It is a common pathology, occurs in the rapid growth stage, its etiology is unknown but seems to be closely linked to hormonal changes. Its clinical picture is characterized by pain at the hip or knee level and inability to walk or gait. It is classified as stable or unstable if there is capacity for walking or not, which has a prognostic factor. Its diagnosis is clinical and radiographic, the management is surgical by fixation to prevent further displacement, in situ if it is stable and with reduction of displacement if it is unstable. Prognosis is usually good with timely management. The most common and important complications are chondrolysis and avascular necrosis of the femoral head. Source

Epifisi…¿Qué? Realmente las palabras complejas nacieron destinadas para la medicina, y definitivamente el nombre de esta enfermedad no es la excepción. Las fracturas en los niños tienden a ser diferentes, en principio y principal porque están en crecimiento y la fragilidad de los huesos hace que sea primordial su tratamiento oportuno. Pero en otros casos como en este puede pasar inadvertida originando trastornos del crecimiento, este tipo de fracturas son específicamente en la cadera, en los núcleos de crecimiento de la cadera, y su afectación produce trastornos de la marcha que son notables y por lo tanto requieren tratamiento oportuno.
