How does the fish in our diet affect the body?
Fish meat is very useful for the cardiovascular system. It helps prevent heart disease and stroke. And this is all due to the fact that the fish contains a special kind of oil, called omega-3. It prevents the formation of blood clots, which subsequently cause a stroke or heart attack. Also, omega-3 oil helps lower blood pressure. It is found in all types of fish, but it is especially rich in such fish as salmon, tuna, mackerel, herring, trout, cod and mullet.

Which, of course, is very pleasant, there is little fat in the fish. Agree, for ladies who are constantly worried about their weight - this is a weighty argument. Why are there ladies? Everyone, absolutely everything, must support himself in the form and monitor his health. Therefore it is recommended that the fish be steamed, cooked in a grill or on a brazier, baked.

Fish is very useful for diabetics. Since diabetics have a high risk of heart disease, and fish, as we already know, prevents them.

Fish is useful for bones. It contains a large amount of calcium, which helps keep the bones healthy and strong. Especially it is worth paying attention to women. After menopause, the risk of osteoporosis is increased - a disease that makes bones brittle. Also, calcium salts promote the digestion of food and normal blood clotting, improve the work of the heart and nervous system.

Fish reduces the risk of asthma. There are some reports that children who often eat fish, asthma get sick less often than those who use it rarely.

Fish is a product rich in extractives. Due to this property, fish broths are able to arouse appetite. Also, they stimulate gastric secretion. A patient with gastritis should pay attention to this.

Sea fish is rich in iodine. Iodine is needed for normal metabolism. In cod meat, for example, iodine is contained in 800-2440 times more than in beef.

The fish contains iron. And iron, as we know, is contained in the hemoglobin of the blood, so it is necessary for the hemopoiesis and respiration of a person. Lack of iron leads to anemia.

Fish is an indispensable product during pregnancy. Due to the fact that it contains a large number of vitamins and nutrients, the future mother needs to eat fish. Then the mood will improve, and from fatiguge there will be no trace.

Sort:

While I cannot say fish specifically is good, the omega 3s appear to be beneficial in moderation. It can be acquired from algae rather than fish but it's expensive from algae.

Honestly speaking, I hate all species of fish except salmon. But it is very expensive here and I can not afford to buy it very often so most of the time I buy frozen American hake and force myself to eat it just because of useful properties contained in fish))

Very useful health information! I've also recently learned that the imbalance between omega 6 and omega 3 oil in the Western diet is damaging to humans' health. Things like flaxseed, hempseed and grapeseed oil all contain high levels of omega 6. Because of the ratio of omega 6 to omega 3s in the Westerner's diet, there is increased risk of obesity (read more in this study if you are curious: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4808858/)

Your post was definitely worth an upvote! Also, I am now following you - thank you for sharing Enigma84 :)
