Keep you cool: What anger does to your heart is terrible!
Introduction
We all get angry from time to time because of various reasons. But whatever the reason, health experts have warned that anger is not good for your health - especially your heart. According to them, it can trigger the release of some chemicals that are not good for the heart. So you should really try hard to keep your cool when provoked. Some people are thrown into uncontrollable outburst of emotion when provoke. While the reason for getting angry could be genuine, inability to control one's feelings can and does lead to disaster. Apart from causing physical damage or harm to others, your heart suffers the more!

I calmly stand in front of that person look them clear in the eye and smile and while smiling I firmly and politely say "I'm not sure what it is that you are trying to achieve by being rude to me but I want you to know I'm not going to play your mind games!! (Especially if they have an audience which they usually manufacture to crank up their intimidation value).
It turns the table and the effect for them is unpleasant and they will not risk you repeating the put down with it's associated humiliation value. It has worked for me many times.
@focusnow, Yes, definitely it can be a issue and in my opinion it's difficult but for sure we have to work towards the Controllable aspects and we should learn some methods which can help us in the phase of Anger.
I take in deep breathes. Whenever it's too much, I just find a quiet place to be and disconnect myself from the world until I calm down
