In today's world, one of the leading cause of death is cancer, many people got very panic when they listen about cancer. They believe that cancer is only about genes, fate or bad luck. but more and more research in this field suggests to us that it's the combination of all. like genes, environment, and lifestyle changes. another good thing is that cancer awareness is increasing. So if you're concerned about cancer prevention, take comfort in the fact that some simple lifestyle changes can make a big difference. Consider these cancer prevention tips.

Before the start, we should know about cancer mechanism in short, cancer is caused by damage to our DNA, the chemical signals that tell our cells what to do. Things that damage our DNA are may be environmental, such as UV rays, or through our lifestyle, such as the cancer-causing chemicals in tobacco or some dangerous foods. This damage can build up over time. If a cell develops too much damage to its DNA, it can start to grow and multiply out of control – this is how cancer starts.

Here are some tips to Prevent Cancer

1. EATING HABIT AND NATURAL PRODUCTS

Eat plenty of foods and vegetables. It has the best role for prevention of cancer. you should remember that these fruits or vegetables are obtained by organic farming, not by synthetic fertilizers and pesticides. you should avoid more sugar intake as more sugar feeds cancer cells. here are some foods which will help you.

  • LYCOPENE - Lycopene is the major carotenoid in fruits and vegetables including tomatoes. Lycopene is the most effective oxygen radical quenching agent among the carotenoids. It inhibits the growth of various human cancers including breast, prostate, endometrial, colorectal, and lung cancer.

  • CURCUMIN - Curcumin significantly inhibited cancer growth and is considered a cancer chemopreventive and chemotherapeutic agent. Curcumin is a natural dietary pigment from the root of the plant turmeric (Curcuma Longa Linn). Curcumin possesses anti-inflammatory, anti-carcinogenic, and anti-metastatic properties, and inhibits tumor formation.

  • CAPSAICIN - Capsaicin is a natural pungent ingredient found in red pepper that has anticarcinogenic, antimutagenic, and chemopreventive in a variety of cancers by inducing apoptosis. It serves as an anti-metastatic and anti-angiogenic factor.

2. FASTING AND KETOGENIC DIET

Fasting once in a week is very beneficial for the prevention of cancer. Low-calorie diet, such as fasting inducing a state of ketosis, has been shown to enhance the responsiveness of cancer cells to chemotherapy in pre-clinical cancer therapy models and to ameliorate some of the chemotherapy-induced side effects in normal tissues

3. PROTECT YOURSELF FROM OVER SUN EXPOSURE

Excessive sun exposure damages your skin through its high UV radiations. to protect yourself you should avoid midday sun where UV rays are so strong. you should cover your exposed areas. Use generous amounts of sunscreen when you're outdoors, and reapply often.

4. DON'T USE TOBACCO AND STOP ALCOHOL INTAKE

Stopping tobacco or alcohol is the best health decision for you. using any type of tobacco product puts you at high risk for cancer. Smoking has been linked to various types of cancer — including cancer of the lung, mouth, throat, larynx, pancreas, bladder, cervix and kidney. chewing tobacco has been linked to cancer of the oral cavity and pancreas. Even if you don't use tobacco, exposure to secondhand smoke might increase your risk of lung cancer. so its best to stop it. Also, the risk of various types of cancer increases with the amount of alcohol you drink so it's better to stop immediately.

5. EXERCISE AND WEIGHT MANAGEMENT

Research shows us maintaining a healthy weight might lower the risk of various types of cancer, including cancer of the breast, prostate, lung, colon, and kidney. Physical activity helps you to control your weight, it regulates the body's hormonal balance. Exercising helps you sweat, and sweating helps release toxins through your skin. Studies have found trace amounts of arsenic, cadmium, lead, and mercury in sweat.
Adults should strive to get at least 3 hours a week of moderate aerobic activity or 75 minutes a week of vigorous aerobic physical activity. You can also do a combination of moderate and vigorous activity. As a general goal, include at least 30 minutes of physical activity in your daily routine — and if you can do more, even better.

6. DETOXIFICATION / PANCHAKARMA IN AYURVEDA

A detox is a process in which a person makes lifestyle changes to clear their body of toxins. These lifestyle changes typically involve abstaining from certain harmful things and optimizing body processes. In ancient Indian medicine, we found an oldest well-known method of detoxification called as 'Panchakarma'. It cleans our body's impurities by natural ways and put our body's physiological state to natural.

7. MEDITATION / YOGA

Meditation helps you to clear your mind and reduce stress. Stress can be as toxic to your health as chemicals. A troubled mind can cause the physical body to function poorly. Practising yoga or meditation is of great benefits to you. it protects you from not only cancer but various diseases by boosting your immune system.

First of all i would like to thank you frient for this awareness about cencer.
Even study says that in todays world we may have 1 pataint in every home. So there need to be some awareness programmes to realise people that there is nothing which human can sorted out.

hello @herbalmedicine we have to change our lifestyle for heath life. early to bed early to rise. doing yoga cardio will also maintain our life balanced :)
